Default From Civic to Subaru. Fresh off the lot!

Hey everyone! Noob here! A couple weeks ago, my 2009 Civic was brutally rear-ended at 40MPH on the way home from work. It was declared a total loss. I loved my Honda, and as sad (and painful) of a day it was, it led to better things. After shopping around and comparing vehicles for days and days, I bit the bullet and purchased my first Subaru, a 2013 Impreza Sport Limited. Has every bell and whistle except navigation which I dont really care for anyway. You dont need nav when we all have smartphones, amirite?? Anyways, I got a really good deal on it too. It was a custom order that someone had backed out on and it was never part of their lot inventory, so I got it below the invoice price, out the door with tax included. Paid cash so I wont be paying any interest either. Shes got 6 miles on the clock and I am going to drive the hell out of her.

Yikes! Brings back memories of the rear-ending I took in my Accord. Texting teenager. What'r ya gonna do?

Anyway, nice Impreza! I won't be as quick as your SI, but it'll take you places your SI wouldn't have. Enjoy!

Nice! I went from a Civic to a Subaru too Sold my Civic because of a blown head gasket, it was hard to let go, so I can feel your pain of losing the car. Hope you enjoy this new one!

I got into my 11 WRX from a 08 SI for the EXACT same reason, lol! Got rear-ended on the highway by some guy not paying attention. In the end, it worked out for the best. I used the insurance money to get my Rex. I loved my SI though Those cars are so much fun to drive. Congrats on the new car!

Welcome to the site and congrats on the new car. Def fill out your profile asap so we can help you out by giving you recomendations to local tuners and vendors. Also read the stickys at the top of each section before doing anything to your car or asking stupid question as they will answer most of if not all of your questions and provide you with tons of great info. Good luck with the new car.

Regarding the Civic- ouch. So sorry to see your car end like that. The damage doesn't seem catastrophic from the pics- was the frame bent?

I think you'll love your Subaru though. I drove Hondas for almost 20 years, and bought my 2013 Impreza in March. I couldn't be happier. Good luck with the new ride. NASIOC is a great source of info and advice. Most people here (a few trolls lurk in the dark crevices of this forum, but what can you do?) are super-helpful and very welcoming.
