Default Serpentine belt change, anyone done one?

Hey all,

Apparently the serpentine belt on my '05 Legacy GT is starting to show some wear. Only 42k miles, but after 8 years I think it would probably be smart to change it as preventative maintenance.

I've never changed one myself - has anyone here done one before and would be willing to offer a hand? This is my daily driver and I don't want to be stranded if I mess it up!

I'm in Arlington but could meet you wherever. I have some basic tools (sockets, screwdrivers, etc).

Thanks!

This is one of the easiest cars to do a belt on, but there ARE some tricks to making sure you can do it fast and easy.

I live just outside of Tysons, we can easily meet somewhere and handle this.

All you need are 10 /12mm sockets...just remember to loosen the tensioner nut before cranking on the long adjustment bolt
