Unfortunately we don't usually get any snow until around Thanksgiving time.

I knew about the TGR forgot to post up and see if anyone was going. TGR always has awesome hand outs, thanks for the reminder

Anyone have thoughts on the Union Force bindings? Im torn between them and set of Rome bindings. I had a really good experience with the Rome 390's I use to have, but have heard good things about the Unions, just want some reinforcement I guess for ease of mind. Also it says they have lifetime warranty, thats hard to beat. Input is appreciated!

I think they're pretty comparable to the 390s. Not the stiffest, not the flexiest, just a good all 'rounder. I've only ridden in them a handful of times, but I felt like I had a solid connection to the board.

What I've really liked about the Union bindings (I own the Contact Pro and the Atlas) is that once I strap in, I don't really notice the bindings. I just feel like I've got good contact with the board. I think some of the mid-high range Burton bindings are good like this also. I had a pair of Rome Targas and they were definitely noticeable once I was strapped in. They were pretty stiff bindings though.

I have a set of Union Forces on a Skatebanana (not my main setup) and they were alright. I got them the first year they came out though so I'm sure the new Forces are a little lighter and more comfortable. Mine are pretty heavy.

Ahh yeah! Lots of places getting their first snow in the last couple days!

Anyone go to Dopamine? I couldn't make it unfortunately. Heard it was not one of Absinthe's best, but not terrible. Jake Blauvelt's Naturally premiers tonight, and Evo is having a party tomorrow for the YES premier. I'll be at the Evo party for sure.

Picked up these beauts yesterday for 40% off. They fit flawlessly and I'm super keen on the zoom air technology because that's what I skated with for a solid 5 years. My old Burton Hails were way too flexy after 4 seasons of use. Easily 200 days.

I guess a cat comes with all new Nike boots?

weekends suck anyway with all the standing in line.

Unless its a big pow day. Then its awesome. in line before the lifts open, on the road home by noon. That makes including the weekends on a pass worth it for me. Depends on where you're buying a pass though.

My kid is in ski lessons so I have to deal with weekends no matter what.

Forces are dope... My first set of Unions and they blow all my other bindings out of the water (I have K2 cinches on my T-Rice and Forums on my park board). I put them on my Gnu Danny Kass. The only complaint I have is that my hardware was faulty (kept coming loose, I wrapped them in Teflon tape and they're solid now). Probably isn't an issue with all of them though.

I bought a set of Union Atlas last season and they are amazing. Stiff enough for great control but flexible enough to give some cushion and great board feel. They are also super light. I am sold on Union binders.

Just got shipped in today! I ended up buying last years Union Forces (cheaper) and they seem nice. Purple was pretty much my only option ha. Also got a Capita Outdoor Living. Now I really cant wait for the season to start.

Big white had its first as well, and has free skiing till mid December with a scheduled opening of nov. 28th. Lodging start at $149 a night with two free lift tickets.

As far as binders go, I love my k2 hurrithane, but I like a softer, jibbier, skate like feel. Looking at getting a skunk ape or NS newest deck for a BC all mountain killer. Still riding Joel's old ray gun 8)

I actually liked that board but couldn't ride the wide. I would've kept it otherwise. I'm doing my best to limit myself to just buying socks this year. I bought a lot of gear last year when I told myself I was set. Ended up buying two boards, bindings, skis, ski boots. I did win a board that I sold to fund another board so its not totally bad. :P
