Default Need advice buying complete replacement set of tail lights

Hey guys. I'm an idiot and I ruined my tail lights. I need a new set. For those interested, here's a quick synopsis of what I just did to my 2013 WRX hatchback.

Months ago I sprayed my tail lights with Metalcast red, to do the standard red-out job popular on the 2008+ hatchbacks. I tried to fix an imperfection in my DIY-sprayed-red tail light tint job. Unfortunately, my skills suck and I immediately made it worse. So I removed all the paint, and in the process the plastic got all weird. They're all jacked up! F my life.

Now I'm shopping for a new set of tail lights, on which I will have vinyl overlays professionally installed. The dealer wants approximately 2 million golds for a new set, so that isn't happening. I've seen some good deals on partsgeek, and some other sites. How are the "OEM quality" tail light units? They look identical, so I don't care that it's not a Subaru Genuine Part.

Here is the part I'm having real trouble with: where can I buy the reverse light assemblies? They don't show up anywhere, except from some sketchy dealers from Hong Kong or Latvia.

Anyone have any experience with this sort of thing?

TL;DR

I need a complete new set of 2008+ Impreza hatchback tail lights. The outer and inner assemblies. The inner assemblies especially, they are hard to find outside of the dealership or SGP site.

Holy crap thank you. I think I might have found a set for about $250, if this is correct.

Nope. No right Tail light. Dang. The inner, trunk lid mounted lights are the hardest to find. i'll keep hunting.

I'm trying to pull this off for under $350...

Ok... located all the parts I need. Thank you for showing me that site, cgolds.

Just to be sure, the 2008 hatchback lights are forward compatible with the hatchbacks up to 2013, right?

The 2012-13 lights are different with the new body style.

Try depo lights, they are good oem/aftermarket for tail and headlights

I saw those. I sourced all of the light units from wrecked 09/10 Outback sports and they are still in awesome condition. The lift gate mounted lights are arriving tomorrow, hopefully their plastic is in good shape too.

Just to update, all parts were acquired and in good order. Score! Car-part.com was a huge help.

Did not find that to be the case, but your mileage may vary.
