My sister-in-law had a good experience buying from Doyle after leaving Van Bortel, but many people swear up and down by Van Bortel. Search out the Van Bortel thread in this forum.

Angry

They were given the task of checking my overheating engine and replaced parts - charged me 784.00 for parts and Labor.

Later when I needed to use the AC, engine began overheating. I had my cousin (mechanic) look at the problem and found the two main cooling fans UNPLUGGED. Plugged them in and they still were not functioning. Took vehicle back to Doyle Subaru only to be questioned and interrogated by Service Admin and Technician. I asked them if they could assist with the check engine light (which was indicating Fan Relay problem) and they further insulted me until I asked them if I should just take it to Van Bortel Subaru. They were LAUGHING AT ME as I drove away. DO NOT take your vehicle to Doyle if you value your car.

Van Bortel >> Doyle. the time my WRX spent up in Roch, it always went to Van Bortel. was a bit of a drive from west Henrietta, but worth it. never heard great things about Doyle.
That and Van Bortel always had good snacks and soda in their waiting area.

DO NOT go to Doyle , had my 2014 sti in there took them 34 days to replace one piston.
Had to call in two engineers I guess to help assemble it back together they dont have a good tech who knows the WRX/STI line up VAN BORTEL on the other hand had at least 3 techs who own the performance line (wrx/sti) and they know there stuff about them.
Poor service center I tried to call every week to get a check up and left countless messages. Finally I started showing up checking on the progress.

Be sure to join buffaloscooby. It encompasses rochester as well and they will be able to give you a good idea as to which is better.

Had great service with van bortel. Dropped off Monday night at 6pm for 28 point inspection, timing belt. got a call tuesday at 11am car was ready . Awesome...
Fast foward to following thursday 3 days later.. Did not drive car wed . Thursday went to run a few errands. Drive to store, noticed coolant smell, temp gauge ok, so think nothing of it.thought some coolant spilled during install ,burning off exhaust. so then drive to next store still have coolant odor.good thing im only ten minutes from my house. so take the slow way home. park in my driveway pop hood. can see leaking coolant and a suprise some rtv gasket maker. thats funny im the only one to touch the engine besides van bortel. turns out they cracked the timing belt cover . tryed to hide it with black rtv . needless to say. not happy. just shelled out $1000 dollars for this service. not to mention could of taken it to doyle wich is 10 min away. Instead of a 40 min drive to van bortel. But I had good faith in van bortels service dept. this is my third and last vehicle purchased at this dealer.
rant over for now
will update waiting for service manager to call
