Default new car - new problems. HELP

so i picked up this very clean 99 Legacy 30th anniversary edition the other day and it seems to have developed a cold. its misfiring on cylinders 1,2 and 4. and has a knock sensor code (p0325). replaced the knock sensor and it did nothing.
it runs like total crap now. at idle the engine is rocking back and forth and sounds like a damn v8's cam lope.

im pulling the plugs tomorrow to look at them.

car has almost 200k. it sounds like it has an exhaust leak right at the manifold. and it also squeals at throttle. (not a belt)

got any guesses to any of these problems?

Start by fixing the exhaust leak it will mess up the afr and make it run bad.

Look at the timing. Is there rod knock? Did it run like this when you bought it?

i dont hear any knocking. it sounds like it has an exhaust leak at the manifold. timing belt looks old i lined up the notch on the pulley with the notch on the block and the line on the belt was halfway around the otherside.

it ran like this when i bought it. the guy at the dealership said it had a slight miss. which is what it seemed like. at idle it would miss but under throttle it smoothed out most of the time.

at idle and at low RPM the engine rocks back and forth bad. also at like 2200 to 2500 rpm in 5th gear.

leak may be coming from the engine bay, could eventually turn into a ticking noise coming under the valve cover

To me it dos sound like there is a timing problem. But these are non interference engines and for the line to be that far off parts should be hitting each other. i need more info on this part to really help you narrow it down

for the exhaust leak i like to have a friend hold a rag over the tail pipe for a quick second as you leak will start to sound like pressurized air escaping.

I have the exact same problem but only has no compression in cylinder #2, I'm thinking it could be from a worn headgasket on that cylinder.
