Arrow POLL: 'wrx sized' direct replacement hood scoop for 91-94 legacy 2.2turbo?

who all would be interested in the above besides me?
the scoop would be the exact same dimensions as the stock scoop. this would require NO CUTTING! the only difference is that the scoop would be taller than stock, like the size of a stock rs or wrx hood scoop.

any takers?
thanks

If the price were reasonable enough, i'd like one. I'm sure i could use some more air going down into the intercooler.

Thumbs up

Depending on price, count me in as an interested party.

well, here is the deal. Bussaca who is making the body kits for the 89-91 legacies apparently didn't want to do it when i asked him and told me to make my own. personally, I am not that good at fabrication of custom products. I was hoping we could get enough people to where he would make one for all of us. I have no idea what the price would be, but I would suspect it wouldn't cost more than $125. I really don't know how much the materials are and how labor intensive it would be. i just hope Bussaca sees this thread and gives it some thought. I want one and i want you guys to have one too.
thanks

Default ARRRG!!! my time table..

These are my plans in all honesty.. no BS..

I plan on Finishing this group buys as soon as possiable, becasue on a daily basis i'm getting hosed, i have little money as it is and now with the drop-out i do have i'm looking at 400-800 of my OWN money on the line to keep the group buy afloat.. and this was with customers and interest from 3 to 4 years in the makeing..

On the 29th I'm shipping out for th army.. i will be back in march/april.. hopefully by then the hood/bumper group buy will be settled and i won't have to dump my sign up bounuses on it..

My next project is The same Hood/bumper deal for late-80's Subarus which i have been gathering interest, for the last 2 years..

IF THAT GOES WELL>>> i will find another project like this one.. but honestly it will be the same hood/bumper deal for 92-94 subaru's..

Heres what i can do..

A.B.E.'s phone number is: (610)-502-1339
He's located in Nazerath, PA

He charges $30 square foot for the the custom peice (which includes his labor)
then $30 a square foot for the mold of the custom peice (which also includes the labor)
then 30% of the mold price is your part price. times how any you want..
He keeps the mold..

Don't ask him for a custom scoop that will fit the Year subaru you have, cause he'll look at you cross eye'd.. he does industrial fiberglass/race work.. which means he works with Exzact specs..or he has the car right there in front of him to work on it..

so be prepared to ship your hood to him.. he'll make your custom scoop take it off the hood and make a mold from it..

This is how it works..this is the same thing i'm doing.. i plan on loseing my subaru for 2 weeks while he does the fitting of the RS bumper to the 91 body..

No thanks bussaca. i am not shipping my hood and don't think anyone else wants to either. i just spoke to a friend of mine who does custom work with fiberglass and carbon fiber/kevlar. he said he would take my scoop and make a mold of it and then take the mold and shape to what i wanted. I will have a direct replacement scoop, but about 1 inch taller. It is going to take awhile, but i will post pics when finally done. thanks
