See you bright and squirrely! Welder and powder coater are warmed up and ready to rock.

You must have got your base map? I love seeing the compressor blade spinning while it runs

Have to cut the wires on the MAF sensor to relocate to the IAT sensor

So you are running Speed Density and a MAFS? I've seen it done just wondering why you'd keep the mafs. Also recirculating the BOV to one of the intake tube ports?

I also see 2 boost controllers, you going to stick with the EBCS or run the hybrid method?

morrocco88 told me to watch your thread I can't wait to get my kit from him.

My tuner wanted to run off the maf for closed loop, if it saturates the sensors capabilities, we will switch to speed density for open loop.

He wanted the air ricirc'd into the inlet off the oem bov, I asked Garris to weld in the purge valve and boost controller reference. The idea is to keep the car as streetable friendly as possible when just driving it like normal Daily driving. The dual boost controllers will be for a hybrid ecbs / mbc boost setup.

You're buying a great kit, you won't be disapointed.

Thanks,
Derek

Topspeed warned me about speed density saying the idle quality would be garbage, but I just finished a friend's build that's being phat botti etuned and it runs and idles amazing for it to be cammed and SD.

I'll probably go speed density this time to clean up under the hood. Looks great and can't wait to see the numbers.

Thumbs up

Nice write up on the build.

The attention to detail that went into making that intake is just awesome.

Today I wanted to finish off the intake hose routing. For the recirc valve, I flipped the oem hose around onto the intake and then added a coupler. I went to my local auto parts store and asked if I could look at their radiator hoses till I found the perfect hose, lol.

Just about done, going to do a boost leak test later today and hope to schedule my tune on Tuesday.

Now I'm following your thread!

Do you have a set date for tuning or you're scheduling that today? Can't wait to compare our spool characteristics since I'm reverse manifold but nearly identical setup.

Ordered a FUELPro fuel pump controller from DCCDpro.com, had a good experience with my old wrx when I swapped in a 6MT using their DCCD controller that I thought I would give their fuel pump controller a try in hopes of not having to hard wire my fuel pump.

http://dccdpro.com/zcart/index.php?m...&products_id=6

FUELPro controller wiring.

oem fuel pump controller

Have to remove the + and - Voltage supply pins to upgrade the wire diameter to something at least 16 gauge. I am going to 14 gauge wire for the added circuit current.

Used OEM wires to turn on the relay, then pass 12V through it to the new fuel pump controller.

The new fuel pump controller will be here later this week. Will update the thread once its all wired up and installed.

Relocating fuel filter from the tank to under the hood like the 02-03 wrx's.

Going to pick up a bracket tomorrow for this to put it in the oem location.

Fog light covers showed up today, still debating on if the STi logo stays or not, but glad they are here.

Have you swapped the fuel tank? My 2.5i still has stock one and I have problems keeping the fuel in the fuel pump tray. I was told I need to put a STI fuel tank in.

Still has the impreza fuel tank, my tank has a quirk that I just deal with. The low level sensor does not work and the needle operates showing full at 7/8th and empty at 1/8th. I will probably address this at some point, for now I just keep plenty of fuel in it.

FuelPro showed up today!

Added a geeky pc fan to remove heat built up in the controller.

Everything tucked away.

It runs!

Lookin good Derek! Can't wait to see your results after the tune! You should try to stop by on your way home and take me for a ride.

Why did you take the pics down of Guido the shop dog?

Back by popular demand, I give you Guido!

If its a decent hour by the time I get out of there, I will hit you up, you are right on the way home. Really hoping for a good result, pretty much down to my last boost leak that I am fixing right now, everything else looks solid.
