Post Best Friday the 13th Story Ever!

Ill start off by saying again that my friend's car sucks (friend being Prodrive). He has had it in to have a sway bar installed at place called Bodymotion in NJ that fixes Porshes and BMWs so they should be able to install a simple part on a VW. He has had it there about three times a week for a front sway-bar problem. Last time they fixed it, when he got it back it made really unhealthy noises like something was vibrating very fast under the car.

The night starts off to make a long story short by seeing a man get shot in a Hess station, picking up two random hot girls on the side of the road and getting drunk with them. Leave the rest to the imagination. Picking up a friend at a club who apparently had to much coke. Brought her home and heard and saw way way too much.

As we are driving home we are discusing front mounted verse top mounted intercooler theory and even better, when we pick our WRXs up next monday what mods we were going to do. He states that he needs to get his car fixed because it is sounding worse. He slows down to about 60 to pull to the side of the road when BOOM!! the front right wheel shoots off of the car! No flat tire, no puncture, the WHOLE TIRE AND SPACER came off of the car and proceeded to travel further down the road towards the toll plaza. The car came to a screeching halt on the shoulder of the parkway. We gathered our thoughts and got out to survey the damage. Took a bunch of pictures i will post later. As we where traveling in the tow truck it hits a goose in the middle of the road which explodes on contact. We proceeded to the nearest VW dealership which aparently burned to the ground that day. We brought it back to Bodymotion and put a sign on the front of the car that read "Mike, the noise under the car went away but a new problem arose!" Can't wait to see his face when he comes in to see that in his lot tomarrow.

So this day has been very twighlight zoneish and I don't think I am going to drive again for awhile.

So how did everyone else celebrate their Good Friday?

There are Zero pictures in that album.
Sorry to hear about his car. I have had cars like that. Just frustrating as hell.

I think my neck hurts. What is that I smell?
A Porshe GT2, no I was mistaken it was only a Skyline.

What pisses me off is that a cop had to avoid the wheel going acroos the parkway but he never cam back to see if we where ok. He was probably late for a donut I meen meeting or something.

Yes you are right that Friday the 13th story tops mine.

Mine was I went to work, ordered a bunch of subie parts online (slow day) then came home and got drunk then made teriyaki chicken for my gf. Surprisingly, I tend to cook better after a number of beers. I make more of a mess though.

Whoa! Something going on with Friday the 13th and wheels falling off! (See SuBart's story.) Could a sway bar install really be responsible for that? Maybe I'll skip the new sway bar..

In order to install a front sway bar on a jetta you have to remove the sub frame which I think was not intalled back correctly and literaly shook the car abart after hour of driving.
