Default 2011 BT on 2010 Impreza

Hi,

I'm considering a used 2.5GT that the previous owner installed an aftermarket bluetooth unit to (car is a 2010 with no wheel-mounted BT). We don't like that unit, and was wondering if it was possible to install a 2011+ head unit with the 2011 BT wheel buttons. I've seen some threads where people ask about removing them. Is this doable (and how difficult would it be)? Thanks in advance!

I think to install the buttons, you need the wiring, the steering wheel clockspring and the buttons. I wanted to add the buttons on my 09, but i think its more work than its worth. I haven't found anyone that has done it.
