Question Anybody know what you can bolt up to a?...

06 STi trany. yea i know that sounds odd for a question. I have an 06 STi that I'm parting out and I want to know what other motors i can bolt up to my trany? I believe it would be the GD7 transmission. Would I get an adapter plate? or remove the bell housing/front part of the AWD portion and slap a custom bell housing? and if i retain the the original front portion of the trany do I use stock cutch set up? (that clutch is pretty neat)

Im crossing my fingers on this one... if I can use it, it would be going into a car only for rear wheel drive application with a 3.07 rear diff ratio.

Thank you for that answer. Sadly that wouldn't fit in this project car I have in mind. My thought process is that I would prefer to recycle this trany rather then deal with selling it, then hunting down a good one for this project.

There arent many cars that got that 6spd tranny. so if its good, keep it and have an adapter plate made that fits the engines bellhousing you plan on using. Also a coupler if needed.

What's your plan?
