Default What axle goes where!?!?

Quick question. I bought two axles for my 03 wagon. I know that one side is a hair longer than the other. My question is what length axle goes on which side!?! I'm in the middle of swapping axles and want to make sure they're right.

What part numbers do you have and is the transmission manual or automatic?

The parts list does not show a left or right axle; both should be the same.

There is however a cut-off date for the 2003 models. Through August, the axle is a female-type. From September it is a male type.

They're male both sides. And 5speed. But I cannot find the part numbers unfortunately.

If your replacement axles measure differently, take them back to the store and use them to beat the counter-monkey. They should be the same length.

They where used OEM axles that where taken out for a swap. the aftermarket axles have different part numbers so who knows. its always hard to tell axle length. either way I installed them and am good to go. appreciate the replies!

Btw I bought one aftermarket axle from a advance auto parts right down the road, broke the same day. OEM ftw.
