Default v7 6 speed parts compatibility

The reverse lockout cable is broken on my JDM V7 swapped bugeye. I am wondering if I can just go to a local Subaru and order the cable for the 2004 usdm STI or will this be a special order ? Like finding the jdm part number and such.
Thanks if anyone has input, I did search !

The part # i found is 35060FG000, but on the writeup, i see a part of a tailight and it seems to be a more of a recent STI.

get the trans code from the front pass side of the trans, near the fill tube. Find your trans cod on the chart found in this thread on post 1. Verify the jdm MY.

I have a jdm V7, MY '05 and found USDM MY 05 seals etc fit. I do know early usdm my 04 trans used stubbed axles and that changed sometime late 04. Don't think ancillary parts changed.

sorry to hijack/bump this, but....

does anyone know if the JDM transmissions use the same bearings as the USDM's ?

on the off chance that I pick one up that needs them (or other parts) replaced,
I'm just wondering how screwed I would be trying to find parts to rebuild a JDM transmission.
Thanks !
