Really, white with blk interior, really? That figures, only thing I hate about my SWP is interior color.

Yeah, I only considered exterior paint colors that could be had with a black interior. I ended up with black on black, which I like.

Well that was my plan, I had to have blk or white for the business. I made a deal on a blk limited sport and when I was leaving to pick it up he called me and told me he mistook and it was a limited but not a sport. So I went to the next closest dealer and bought the only sport they had in either color. It happened to be white sport premium. Ill pass it to my next new employee and get a 14 model. I'd like to get a wrx or sti hatch for myself to drive, but then I can't pass it to an employee as I don't want them racing around with my business name plastered all over it. My next one might be a blk on blk. But it's good to know I can get SWP with blk interior. Atleast its not the Toyota white with blue interior like Toyota used to only come

Having owned lots of early 90's imports, I actually kinda miss base model cars coming white with blue interior.

Subaru has officialy updated the XV to the 2014 model year on their website if anyone was wondering.

Everything is exactly the same as the '13 except for the color blue has changed from Marine to Quartz and the destination price went up $25.

Limited w/ a MT are available in other markets. I looked at one at a nearby dealership (I'm in Canada). I also watched a European review of the XV on Youtube, and the version of the car they have over there had push button start and a few other things which I don't believe North America has at all.

So while it's a failure, I would say it's a failure of Subaru's marketing team with respect to market analysis and what features they decide to bring to specific markets.

Yeah, same for Canada it appears. I compared the 2013 vs 2014 options. Only difference seems to be that we are losing the Cherry Pearl colour and getting the Jasmine colour instead. Kind of too bad, as I quite liked the Cherry colour. This is a good shot of it.

We don't have either of those colors available in the US. I do agree that the Cherry color is quite nice!

It's hard to say that Subaru's market analysis is bad, when Subaru is setting sales volume records for themselves, and is struggling to keep up with demand. I believe the Tribeca is the only model that isn't selling well.

Yea but to be fair the web site might not be accurate. It seems to be a work in progress. For example if you choose the new quartz blue while building an XV Limited it will give you ivory cloth as the seat option and not leather. That makes no sense and can't be right.

Default 2014 Impreza colors.

I'm currently in talks with a Subaru dealership about the 2014 models. From what they told me the two new colors were Quartz Blue Pearl (same color as the blue Crosstrek). And the other one is called Deep Sea Blue Pearl which I believe is a very dark blue. Haven't seen either color in person though but I'm thinking about trading in my beat up 2002 Subaru Impreza RS 2.5 toward a 2013 or 2014 Subaru Impreza Hatchback.

It's certainly a matter of taste and subjective opinion. But I can see how many people would think this car is more attractive than the Impreza sedan:

Even the new toyota corolla looks pretty good (more like a hyundai)

But I like how my car looks, and that is all that matters.

Now if they can just build the new corolla with AWD, 5 door, and 50mpg at 80mph Stevehnm would finally be happy...

I like how my Impreza hatch looks too.

I'd say of the new models being introduced (that compete against the Impreza), the new Mazda3 hatch is the most exciting to me.

I'd love to see Mazda drop their Skyactiv diesel engine in that car (without removing the manual tranny from the configuration options like Chevy did with the Cruze diesel).

Yes, but...

My 2012 that I got in Dec '11 has only 13,000 miles on it.

I won't be car shopping again for a long while...

I won't be looking to replace my Impreza anytime soon, too. But as a car enthusiast, I'm always reading about cars, and am always aware of what cars I like best in each segment.

You never know when some idiot is going to T-bone your car and total it. Or, in the case of my 2010 VW TDI, I had no intention of replacing it at 30k miles. But it was such a complete POS that it forced me to do that very thing.

My point is that you never know when you're going to need to replace a car, even if you aren't expecting to. But mainly, I just like reading about cars, so I'm always aware of what I like, and right now the new Mazda3 is just about the coolest car I've seen of the cars that compete against the Impreza. If someone totaled my Impreza, I'd test drive a Mazda3 instead of simply going straight to the Subaru dealership to buy another Impreza.
