Default Sorry no good search results

I just got the SUBARU short throw, and was looking for install instructions. I got the Kartboy bushings, but I found the bushing install instructions. Thanks,

Dan

Thanks...Yes I have that thread saved in my favorites already. but I have the Subaru shifter which is far more inclusive than the Kartboy.

And to you Scooby Snacks I have tried no less than 10 search word combinations and even went through 1 year of drivetrain posts in hopes I could find a previous thread with no luck. I knokw where the search button is, and thanks for nothing. You ever go through 50 pages of threads... doubtful

Let me say agin what I am looking for since you missed it. Subaru Short throw install instruction. I kow where the bushing instructions are.

i'm sorry i read kartboy bushings and thought you meant the kartboy shifter as well, it's easy to install, it all comes out from the top....unbolt everythign the shifter attaches to and it then comes out

OK so this SS is the same as stock, but with a different rod? So everything should just fit where the old one was, no crazy adjusting and fabricating. Or taking pieces off the stock one to make way for the SS?

You don't really need any instructions for the Subaru Short Shifter. Just remove anything that's in the way:

1. Shift knob and the console trim from top.

2. Lift the car up, put it on stand, and then unbolt the stock shifter (which is held at 3 spots).

3. If you're doing the Kartboy bushing, then remove the bushing on the Subaru SS, and replace them with the Kartboys before you crawl back down under the car.

4. Install everything. Do not overtighten the bolt where the Kartboy bushing is! After every weekend, there are usually one or two posts in this forum with people saying they broke the spindle. Duh!
