Default Stock 2013 WRX wheel paint job

Got around to ordering some all seasons, gonna be trying the Toyo Proxes 4+, see if they live up to the hyping that Toyo is giving them.

My car is Plasma blue and I just don't dig the gunmetal wheels on the dark car, I can't ever tell if the wheels are dirty or have brake dust on them, that's just the color they are.

Was going to paint them all a bright silver while the tires are off. The wheels on my mom's Volvo S-80 are a cool silver color, almost look like slightly dull polished aluminum. If I could find something like that in a spray can I'd be set.

The question is, has anyone painted the wheels a different color (preferably silver) and left the middle spoke of each set stock gunmetal?

Looking at the wheels they look too busy with all the spokes. They are basically a triple 5-spoke pattern. I'm thinking if I paint the whole wheel bright silver and leave the middle spokes of the set dark it will look like a split 5-spoke design.

Thoughts? Photos? Photoshop? Opinions? Flames?

EDIT - Also will have a set of stock Dunlop SP 101 tires with 4,000 miles on them for sale shortly PM me if interested.

I've only seen it with 02-04 wrx wheels and it comes out rough.

Usually those people are painting green or red so maybe there's hope but its alot more work to potentially be disappointed.

I did a ****ty MS paint photoshop and it looks funky. The outer spokes are too far apart and it ends up just looking empty. Guess I'll just sand them and paint them a bright silver metallic and call it good.

Done. Also plasti-dipped the hood scoop insert. Gives it more contrast

Just my opinion, but somehow it looks less "sporty"
