Default Ipad Mini Install

So i decided to create my own idea of how to install an iPad Mini into the dash of my WRX. Up to this point I have only saw two or three different people who have done this. The first being online which was a slide mount where you slide the iPad in from the top. Many of you have probably saw this video on YouTube. The next one I saw was by naked_dave1 who did an amazing job with his. I read his whole forum which gave me a lot of advice and tips when I was doing mine. The way I wanted to do mine was to start by buying a new bezel and working up from that to mount my iPad in front of my factory radio. I did this to save me money on my end but also to make it easy for steering wheel controls and USB connection to my car. I found out the most difficult part of whole thing was the finishing bondo work. I worked on the final sanding and re-sanding for countless hours and there are a few places I would love to go back and fix but for now its fine by me. I will post all of the pictures I have from start to finish if anyone has any questions of how I did any part of the building don't hesitate and to ask how it was done.

This Is my final install in the car. I will probably repaint it due to the glossy paint not matching the car
Not that great of a pic but gives you the idea

Default Starting Off

So my first step was to place the iPad in front of the radio and to measure how far off of the radio it needed to be to clear the volume/tune buttons. After getting the measurements I needed I used foam board to make my height off of my stock bezel.

Great in idea, but like you said finish needs some work. If you want to make it easy, wrap in in CF or something. Good work doing it yourself though.

Awesome, Glad you found my build helpful! The finishing finishing work I thought was the hardest part too. There are still some spots on mine I'd like to fix. Love to see more photos of the progress and the finished product!

The tray turned out great. I had to be careful not to have a lot of bubbles in it so I had smooth lines on the whole tray.

I next mounted it to the Bezel
