Talking Subaru Holiday - Rainy Day in Phoenix!

It's a rainy day in Phoenix, AZ. I declare it a Subaru holiday! Anybody with a Subaru can take today off and go play in the street!

Isn't it great out there? I'm a brit and used to hate rain - very depressing after 5 or 6 months non-stop, but this morning I'm like a pig in sh** !!

I got up this morning and saw the rain and said...honey why don't you take the 2000 T/A WS.6 and I will take the impreza....I lost

She just called me and said that she had fun on the way to work today though...
I love driving in the rain with that impreza...

I am in love with this car!!
I used to hate driving in the rain, and it only took 1 trip to work to completely change my outlook! For the first time I wasn't worried about going around the outside of someone on a fast section of road with a sharp kink in it. Awesome!

I just took the SVX-T for a fun ride through some water up here in N. Phoenix. What a fun trip that was....

Thumbs up

I'm jealous. It needs to snow around here a little more often. He-He. That would be alot of fun to have some snow to go romping around in. I miss Colorado. Thats where I am from originally.)
Maybe we should drive to Prescott and have a fun day up there!!

Man, all you crazy Chandler subaru owners....I gotta watch out for you guys near my crib. Opps, I forgot, I was bad to today also. Just got reminded today, when you over take on the right hand side, watch out for the big puddels. It really pulls your car in towards the curb!

I was driving my dad's full size Chevy pickup. Whee those 350s are great fun in the rain with nothing in the bed. My wife had the SVX.

I need my RS back so I can have fun too.

Cool

Well, on the way to a friend's house for dinner, I found a small subdivision that hadn't had the roads paved yet. The road was mostly mud and small "lakes" of water. I just had to go romp in it. Let me tell you. Those A520s are not mud-bogging tires. Very slippery, great fun. My car was muddier then it's ever been. I dropped a horse-turd sized chunk of mud on my friend's driveway.

I wish I could have gotten pictures. I washed the car today. It took $10 in quarters and I still have mud on the undercarriage. It was more like concrete then mud. Big rocks and gravel in it.

Woo hoo!

I cant bring myself to muddy my brand new RS, not yet any way. I am very jealous though. Next time you decide to go romping around, let all of us know in advance so we can at least come and watch if not play also.

LOL! I'm still dropping chunks of mud today. (It got wet on the way to work and I heard it crunch under the tires. There was no mud on the road in front of me, but there was a big squished chunk behind me. )

We need to make mud-bogging a part of the rallycross! Could you imagine an Impreza with those big paddlewheel tires?

Yes! When it warms up.

Actually, I thought that there was an overwhelming lack of enthusiasm for this trip. Are people now interested?

Well we never got to see the pics from Phoenix, so should we all drive to Sedona to see the same thing happen?

I would be willing to drive to Sedona for some pictures, although I can honestly say I would rather drive to Prescott and play in the snow.
