Default Suspension Help Please: Struts And Lowering Springs

i need help from people that know what they're talking about since i'm kind of a noob. i have a 2002 wrx and i am planning on getting lowering springs.
I chose the H&R Sport springs
From reading on many forums i've read that you want to change your struts if you are getting springs. so which struts do i want to get??

They only have a modest spring rate increase over stock.

So you can use a stock type strut, like:
KYB Excell-G ( inexpensive OEM type)
KYB AGX (very limited adjustable strut)
Tokico HP (often called blues. Probably the best OEM type strut and best pick of these three for your needs)

Those springs are ok for just driving around on smooth roads. They are not good performance springs though and if you drive on rough roads get ready to feel the bump stops.

In all honesty, you would be better off returning the H&Rs. Find a set of 04-07 STI take off springs (used found from $100 to free). Get some Group-N front strut tops. Get a stock 04-07 set of rear strut tops. Some 921 spacers (special washers to allow 02-03 rear struts to be used with rear 04-07 springs and strut tops).

The STI springs mated with any of these struts:
Tokico HP
Tokico D-Spec (if you can find a set)
Koni inserts
Feal inserts
Or as a last resort the KYB AGX (in truth, not a bad strut set, but they are VERY LIMITED. They do play very well with STI springs though)

With the strut tops mentioned before, STI springs and any of these struts would give you a MUCH better ride.

Good luck.

About 15mm or so. Not much, but that's a good thing.
