But as stated, there are a lot around here. From what I've found most like the car, but aren't very social as far as the subie scene.

Need any help with building your suby or need any advice from a pro. Hit me up. I am local and build suby's as well. I spend a lot of time around cumberland helping friends with there cars. Just finished a 30R kit on an 08 hatch recently. Planning a motor build over the winter.

Ever heard of the SUXASS? My build is a 95 GM. Stock, stock and more stock. A stock ej255 bottom end with wiseco 14:1 forged pistons. Stock ej205 heads. FP green (20psi) and E85. Makes 350whp and 400wtq. And when completed will weigh near 2400lbs. The car is built for autocross at the cumberland airport, but it scares people on the street sometimes.

My previous setup was 10.5:1 pistons on an 18G and made 370whp and 430 wtq at 3000rpm! I have always had modded dark blues (1000cc). I never go 100mm overbore. The sleeves will crack.

I have seen many overbore blocks crack. I have even seen stock bore crack. You must have a good casting. We never use drop in pistons. Always hone the bore to the piston. We had one 100mm build that was CP pistons/pauter rods. It was completely done by our machinist. Break in went fine, but as soon as we put boost to it the sleeve broke allowing combustion pressure to enter the cooling system. It immidiately burst the radiator.

Sleeved blocks bring their own problems altogether.

On my 10.5:1 motor I ran 30+psi. For a couple days. I had switched to a new boost guage and I didn't beleive it was reading correctly. I watch the boost spike to max and just laughed. Turned out the bottom port on the wastegate had come loose. It never had any complaints running that much boost but it didn't seem to make the car any faster. We were running a target of 22psi.
