Question Any local tuner shops worth a darn?

Does anyone have any opinions on local tuner shops that might be okay to visit?

Yeah there is this guy in Prescott who is tuning the coolest RS I have ever seen right now.

Actually Robert is a mechanic who is specializing in Subaru. He is also trying to develop turbo kits for some of them (SVX, RS).

And yes my RS is the lab rat for his turbo-kit. Speaking of my lab rat have any of you Prescott guys seen it lately, is it going well? Just wondering how my baby is doing

Robert did the turbo install on my SVX-T. For what it's worth, he did a great job on it.... Even though I'm leaning towards selling it....

Question

Does the turbo install on the RS require any major modifications? The reason I wonder, is that if something goes wrong and you need to take it in for warranty repair, is it going to be difficult to change back to relatively stock?

You have to relocate the cruise control and the power steering lines as well, those aren't permanent but they are a pain IIRC.

Question

Are you using a kit, or pieceing it together?
What do you think you will be into it for when its all said and done?

Mine is a hybrid kit/piecing it together kit of deal. I have supplied some of the parts, while Robert has supplied others. In the future he will be selling a complete bolt-on kit based on how this one turns out.
