Reflect on what you do on a regular basis. Do you not have a family, do you go to the mountains and tear it up? Having the extra cargo space is excellent. I haven't been keeping pace with what the new years are offering, but the last time I looked the '13 did have foldable rear seats.

Hatch. No point asking us though as you are still going to just get what you wanted all along.

I personally like the sedan look, also there seem to be fewer of them, at least in my area.

You had a sedan in the Evo. I'd switch it up and go with the Hatch. Plus, Hatches are way cooler anyways.

I have found, generally, that there are those who bought a sedan that later thought that a hatch would have been a better choice. But I haven't read of many hatch owners who, down the road, thought that they should have got the sedan.

*** I said generally. Yes, there are sedan and hatch owners who never regret their choice, I was just generalizing about those that do***

As I mentioned earlier, if you end up regretting your choice, which would you still be able to live with better later?

Personally, I love the hatch and how it looks. Like others said, it's pretty useful for moves (had a hatch when I was in college and moved every year, nice not having to rent a U-haul everytime) and for families/trips with gear (ski/snowboards if you don't have a roof rack).

In the end though, its up to you and your needs/preference. get whatever makes you happy and makes your drive enjoyable!

Oh I didn't know that. That's perfect. A sedan is the only way to go with an STi IMO.

I got the sedan because it was cheaper and I really preferred the aggressive look. My wife got a Mazda hatch at the same time. Now I see hatches and I get a little jealous because of the utility. Looking at them more, the hatches look good in their own way. I think they look best in dark colors, though?

My next car will hopefully be a black or DGM STI hatch (unless Mazda does release the RX-7 next-gen, or maybe Mitsu updates the Evo).

I dont, the Hatches have so much more room for stuff. I am go on a mountain, and go fishing in the same trip... Win win. Plus I can easily fit, tools, track tires, and a lunch cooler in the back for an autox\track day event.

(I am waiting on a 2014 hatch. )

The only thing that I see the sedan having over the hatch is wing choices. The sedan you can bolt just about anything onto, the hatch really only has WRC style wing option and that's it.

To each their own. I had a 2004 STi, and loved it. I just like the hatches of this body style more.
