Default Nitrous??

Have a buddy that just offered me $1000 if I beat his 74 Vette (350 with a 200 shot). He may be running 14 pounds of boost to I'm not sure.

But basically I want to win so he'll stop talking ****. This nitrous setup will be a 1 time thing. (My other friend has a kit he's going to let me use) So what do I need to do timing wise and tuning wise? Motor is stock but I have a 20g garret turbo with a Cobb AP, Perrin down pipe, no cat, 2006 STi.

Nothing. Don't even consider it. Your friend with the bigger motor, bigger turbo, more NO2 is going to win. No question at all. You will lose and probably blow your motor up. You are a noob to even 1. Consider this "race" and 2. Ask this question.

Just stop. Right now. Don't. Do. It.

You will pop your motor. And lose this race if it's a drag race.

Right..... But to put that much power through it, it needs to be fully built. I'd assume he ported/polished/bored. That motor with the no2 and boost has potential to make 800+hp.

And then you said he has a 200 shot of nitrus, and MAY be running 14lbs of boost from a turbo or supercharger.

Build a different engine, or set up a wet kit properly and hope you don't pop a ringland.

Call your tuner and google nitrous wet shot. Go from there. No one here can give you 100% safe info unless its the guy that tuned your car.

Weird, like we already have a technical forum for nitrous.
