I spent all day searching for pads for a 2011 Toyota Corolla. Literally the top of the performance scale for that car is the Hawk HPS.

I guess Carbotech and Ferodo will put their compounds onto backing I send in, but it's $texas and a long lead time.

More info than what? The thread title? Click the link in the OP.

You may actually have to type "COM NHMS" in the YouTube search bar. But if "YouTube" was too much in the first place, I'm guessing you'd rather us spoon feed you some links.

Also, does anyone know if this wheel setup will fit my car? The wheels are 17s. Thanks

Wish I had a new clutch in by then, know it won't happen and I'm sure the stock rad wouldn't be happy with me.

I have a few new sets of DTC 70 F + R left over from my 05 STi, will be in in my spare parts bin if someone need to buy them. You can find me where the tetris Integra is.

Basically there are 5 run groups of ~20mins each. Students have classroom time during other run groups.

Its all on the schedule you'll receive at registration.

You might want to clean out your car. You have to remove EVERYTHING that's not bolted down.

This like has a lot of great info: http://www.comscc.org/getting-started/

And track guide:
http://www.comscc.org/events/track-information/nhms/

You'll be pretty busy as a student because of the classroom sessions. It's highly recommend to have your brake system all set so you don't have any "car stuff" to worry about during the day.

Im all signed up can't wait to get to the track! This will be my first time running with COM but i have been to NHMS before looking forward to racing with subie guys for a change! its also the first time I'm hitting the track after completing my full rebuild on my 06 WRX. Im sure its going to be a very different ride going from a stage 2 set up to running a fully built 400 hp setup! I have been reading through the rules but was wondering what COMs rules are for running with a meth setup? Im pretty sure its ok but i just wanted to double check on here if anyone could answer that for me id greatly appreciate it. Really excited to meet my instructor, Im hoping to learn a lot!

Hmmmmm.......talk with nhsilversti. Ted ran this setup. Although I think he was running significantly more power. I think he ran SPB. KFoote would know....he did a lot of work on the new classing.

Who is your instructor (just curious)

Hey Jack,

I have been reading lots of your posts about racing trying to pick up some stuff and i must say you are a very funny guy lol, Im pretty sure meth is ok for COM, they only reason i even asked is because I remember one of the guys down at efi said that maybe it was NASA that didn't allow it but I'm not sure. . I just want to make sure that I can race and don't fail inspection and get sent home. Also how do I find out my instructors name? I didn't see any info on that when I signed up? Spots open if your an instructor Jack I promise you won't want to kill yourself after lol and you will be compensated in adult beverages of your choice!

Looks like meth is a 3 point hit from the classing sheet.

Also, people should check out the rules. Its a good read:

Thanks I read the rules again and they do allow it. If it was a big deal i would just have ran my non meth map. Also do the classes and scrutineering really matter if my goal for the weekend is to just turn laps? I wasn't really planning on competing in the time trial on sunday, i really just wanted to get a feel for my new set up, learn some new stuff, meet some subie guys and have some fun!

No, classing doesnt really matter if youre not competing in the time trial. They do want classes on the car for HPDE, though. I never understood why. The Go-To class for a turbo Subaru is SPB.

400+ hp with meth sounds PBish ... I'd still class your car with the classing sheet. Maybe you'll get signed off and want to compete..

All you need is a taste.... then you're hooked!

Looking forward to seeing the car. Com by and say hi. Car #144

Instructor assignments will be emailed to you the week of the invent.

If I were you I'd run the lower HP safer map, and bring your AAA card.

Here a TT of a comparable car to yours maggion31.

Ted was in the low 16's. The track has a few minor changes since then. Let me know if you can get below a :30.

Today I learned you can fit a set of wheels in the back seat of a GC Coupe. How is Subaru using this as a selling point for the BRZ?

The short version is to make sure that you have the necessary safety modifications for the level of prep your car is at, though it's a lot less critical since COM stopped requiring roll bars in the SP classes a few years ago. It's a liability/insurance issue.

...and +1 for not running the meth injection. That'll be one less thing that you'll have to worry about going wrong until you get to the point where you are faster than the car is.

Here's a list of videos. Most of the ones on the first page are appropriate.

http://www.youtube.com/results?searc...be.Fuwe267Qqlg

Also, here is my in-car from the October event last year in the damp. It's terrible for trying to figure out where to be, as I was hunting around a lot trying to figure out where the grip was on the track.

Probably because you'd expect to be able to with a sedan but not a coupe. NT01s, you registered?

I don't put my class on my car if I'm only running Saturday. Mostly because I'm cheap and still use painter's tape which is a pain.

Im doing the SLMP weekend with Champion and friends. I need to figure out if running the Corolla on the track is a realistic idea before I sign up to run with COM in it.
