Default iOS 7 Bluetooth Audio Issues

Has anyone had issues with their audio controls working since they upgrading to iOS 7? My next/previous buttons don't work on my steering wheel or radio.

I had an issue this morning with mine on my JVC unit. I shut down the phone and restarted and everything worked fine. I don't know if that will continue though.

My other issue with iOS7 is now the music "app" has to be on the entire time or else it wont play. Mine use to just hook up with iTunes/Music not open and play away.

I deleted the car Bluetooth from my phone, then deleted my phone from my car, and re-paired them. Still doesn't work. I did notice that the music app on the lock screen, those controls didn't work either. So i shut my phone down holding the power and home button. Then after a couple minutes turned it back on. The music app on the lock screen works again. I will check soon to see if it will work in the car.

Not just the Music App didnt work, Pandora would not let me skip songs either.

I had this same issue too. What I did was I went into my iphone settings, then bluetooth, then selected the info of my stock HU it's connected to and selected "forget this device". Then I initialized my HU bluetooth and re-paired both the phone and audio to it again. I haven't tried pandora or spotify yet but my steering wheel controls are working fine again with playing my music stored on my phone. Hopefully it works for you guys.

POSSIBLE SOLUTION

So I noticed that my controls for my music app didn't work on my lock screen either. So I closed out all my apps. Turned the phone off by holding the power and home button and then let it stay off for a couple minutes. Turned it back on and everything worked. Then the controls in the car worked!!

A little while leading up to iOS7 being released my bluetooth was being funky, especially with pandora. After iOS7 it kept dropping the connection and I got so tired of it I just deleted the connection and repaired it. Now it works just fine. Maybe something glitchy happened with the upgrade. Ah well

Same issue here. I cant skip on my steering wheel or on the lock screen for pandora. Ill reboot see if it helps, if not then repair the bluetooth. If none of that works im buying a new phone, i swear ill never by another iPhone again, its too cookie cutter and you cant customize anything. I hate this piece of ****..

Really? I came here to post that I am having issues with my x9310bt. I also wired my '11 Forester Radio in my '98 Impreza and it is also having problems forwarding songs from the unit.

I figured it's the phone OS and not the system since it both radios worked perfectly before I updated to 7.

I noticed this as well. The skip on the home screen isn't working. I will try the hard reset and see if this works.

iOS7 has a ton of bugs. Hopefully this is just a small bug with BT streaming and it will be fixed.

I understand bugs, but god this OS is ugly. Looks like it was made by a 13 year old girl. Not a big fan of washed out white menus and pastel color scheme. /rant

Just spent about 10 minutes fixing both cars radios.

Steps for the lazy:
1. Delete all paired devices on iOS BT menu
2. Turn car onto Accessory
3. Delete all paired devices on head unit
4. Hard reset iPhone by holding down both the top power button and the home button for a few seconds. Keep holding down until the apple logo shows up.
5. Turn car off and turn back onto Accessory
6. Sync phone back to head unit
7. Turn car off and turn back onto Accessory
8. Test that all previous functions work as they did before.

Details:
The Pioneer AVIC-X9310BT in the '11 STI hatch was first. As stated I went into setting on the iPhone and deleted both synced devices. I then did a hard reset by holding down both the top power button and the home button for a few seconds. Keep holding down until the apple logo shows up. Now go into settings and pair the radio. It went without a problem and now the play/pause/skip work on the head unit, on the steering wheel controls, and on the lock screen of the phone.

Next was the '11 Forester radio in the '98 Impreza coupe. I went into the radio's settings and have it remove the paired iPhone. Then went and re-paired everything. Went without a problem. Tested and all the commands on the head unit work and again on the lock screen.

So there is a way to make it all work. Just a pain in the ass.

Yes to the above - I thought my solution fixed it, but because I only deleted my phone via the buttons on the head unit, it was for some reason still stored in the voice activated settings. so I went through and deleted my phone through that, and re-added it via voice controls. AND IT'S FIXED!!!
