I bought another rubber cup that's part of the Subaru/LaMco gauge kit. It cost $100 @ Exeter Subaru in NH....but Exeter was the ONLY dealership that I called that would just sel me the cup. It sure cost a lot for a chunk of rubber..but it looks pretty OEM

How'd you get your omori's in?

When I put my boost gauge in my rubber cup it was like trying to get Chris Farley in a speedo.

damn dude...that line almost made me wet my pants

WD40 is your best friend...

spray some on your fingers, and wipe on inside of the mounting cup and then on the outside rim of the gauge. Align carefully (once it's in there...its IN there!) and push the gauge into the cup...back and forth...little by little..until it slides all the way in

anyway..with a little carefulness, deliberation and lubricant it should slide in NO PROBLEM
(this sounds gross )

FYI, the $30 HKS 48mm cup works great with the 45mm Omori gauges. I have one on my column just like the pic above. Ordered it from www.hksusa.com

If you like cups I think the Auto Meter carbon fiber cups are the best looking.

You can buy them at summitracing.com for $37.95. Pricey, but they look soooo good.

Ahahaha, that's almost exactly what I ended up doing. First I relieved the "shelf" a bit and tried shoving it in and it didn't go very well so I got it about 3/4 of the way in and then started spraying WD40 in there It worked but now it's crooked slightly Although my stock one was a touch crooked too.

But I'm real happy with it. I'll have to get some picts of my current gauge setup.

get two long and thin flat head screw drivers..then open up the cup a little and spray a lil' WD. do that left, right, top, bottom. Then reinsert the screwdrivers on opposing sides and push/pry both at opposing angle AWAY from the gauge itself. ONce it start to get loose a bit, just use the screw drivers and your fingers to shimmy it out of the cup. I was in the same boat as you...the EGT on the left came out really crooked..I used this method and I re-aligned it pretty nicely!

WD40 dries in a matter of minutes, so you need to be 'with da' quickness!

try routing the radar cable with one of those cables that go to the fuse box, easy to do and a lot cleaner.

Nordskog RED digital vac/boost(got from a friend with a WRX...still gotta trade for a vac. only gauge)
and oil PSI.
i also changed my dash bulbs all to red, so everythign matches nice an purdy at night.

i will try for a night shot when i get a decent camera.
i also have a out-side temp gauge to go with these..but have no where to put it.
