For those who have installed the Omori pod, how have you fastened it to the dash? Since there are no pins, I'm not quite sure how to best do the job.

Also, does the Defi pod have tabs to mount into the stock location?

I'm not sure about the Omori pod but I have the defi triple center dash pod and all you have to do to secure it is push it in. The bottom of it is molded just like the clock that it replaces, it's a perfect fit and it's very secure. It has all the same snaps and clips that the clock has. It's sweet!

Question 60mm gauges in OEM pod?

Is it possible to fit 3 60mm gauges into the OEM pod? I have been planninng to make a custom mask to house the gauges with a sheet of carbon fiber i have laying around. Just wondering before I order my gauges.

yeah... making room for the IC sprayer switch to go there soon

actually it hides the light perfectly behind the steering wheel for those roadtrips at night... having a bright LED in the corner of my eye is annoying.

IMO 3 52mm gauges is pushing the OEM pod as it is. You have to dremel a bit of the pod for the top part of the gauges to fit. I guess if you are good with the dremel tool you could pull it off. BTW I'm referring to the WRX OEM dash pod.

Just got my guages in the mail today. I will get some pics up as soon as I install them.

My set up:

-Dual autometer Pillar Pod
-30 psi autometer boost ultra-lite carbon fiber gauge
-Oil pressure autometer ultra-lite carbon fiber guage

Will be headed here soon.
-Autometer bezel
-Autometer EGT ultra-lite carbon fiber guage
-Autometer oil temp. ultra-lite carbon fiber guage

does any one else have this bezel so I can have an idea on how it sit around the guage cluster?

I did that too. That's funny when you think that you're the only one that does a mod like that...and then you see a picture where somebody else did it.

koloumb,

Yes that's a 60mm HKS gauge. I am planning on doing this myself but with a Greddy gauge instead. I've told that the HKS gauge fits better in this vent.

How do you get it mounted in there? Does it just sit there? Is duct tape involved?

I'm shopping for gauges also to put in the a-pillar. The only problem is I can't find gauges to suit my preferences. What I want is..

Black faces, white letters (I might take white faces with black letters if they light up blue. As long as they aren't extremely bright, would have to see a pic.)
Lights up blue or the light can be easily changed to blue
electronic
I want boost, oil temp, and EGT gauges.
MUST be in american units (PSI, Farenheit), NO metric.

I was looking at the Autometer Cobalt series. They are electronic and light up a nice blue at night. But they don't have Oil Temp. Anybody know if they are going to release any more gauges in the Cobalt series? Anybody have the cobalt series? I'd like to see pics of them installed.

I was also looking at the Defi-Link gauges with the control unit. They are really nice. They light up white, but I think they would still look good with my setup (I'm changing all the lights in the dash to blue). BUT they are in metric units. Anybody know if Defi has them in american units? Anybody have day and night pics of them installed?

You're talking about the sending unit right? I did a very clean install on this, no pictures, but I can try to describe in detail if this is what you need.

A couple questions:

1) Is there an aftermarket boost guage that'll fit in the steering column pod? Particularly one that matches the colors of my dash?

2) Is there anywhere I can get a outside temp guage for my WRX?

Do or would an after market guage such as A greddy boost guage, or a set of the defi guages void the warranty???
