No Front O2 Reading on Logger
okay guys, i'm not sure if this belongs here, electrical or service section. probably all of them. lol.
2003 Subaru WRX Wagon
RHD swap utilizing extended factory USDM wiring harness.
Built Hybrid Motor
FP18G, Injectors, TGV Deletes, Inlet, EWG, Turbo-back, Fuel Pump, ETC.
So I got my car up and running semi-properly, all my wiring was complete and it was running alright, aside from my insane lean condition. my AEM wideband gauge was reading between 17 and lean off scale when at operating temperature.
I decided to plug in my logger and see what was going on, I found that my front O2 sensor was not fluctuating what so ever. It was pegged at 14.70. I read all my codes and i came up with a knock sensor code (P0327) an O2 sensor code (P0031) and a back-up voltage circuit malfunction code (P1560)
I figured maybe my O2 sensor was dead, so i replaced it with a brand new number matching Denso unit. still no reading. I then decided my wiring might have became damaged or was incorrect (even though i'm 150% sure it isn't as i was very meticulous when rewiring the harness.) So I ran a new harness directly from the O2 sensor to the appropriate pins on the ECU. I STILL HAVE NO READING. wtf right? So I figured I'd plug in a spare ECU I have to see if a circuit may have shorted internally. I also replaced my main relay just incase it could have been that. At this point I also updated to the newest version of Romraider with updated Definitions.
STILL NOTHING. I'm getting frustrated. Since I plugged in the new untuned ECU, it has began to run rich, my wideband is reading between 11-13. and I also have no CEL's with the new ECU. When I should probably be throwing like 15 codes.
The only thing I can think of...the ECU wiring diagram shows 5 pins for the front o2 sensor. 2 for the heater circuit, 1 positive sensor wire, 1 negative sensor wire, and 1 shield wire. What does this shield wire do? is it some sort of ground? I cut and taped off this pin, could this affect the o2 sensors output?
So does anybody have any ideas? I've searched all over the place and i'm running out if ideas. I need to get the car retuned, but a front O2 is necessary. PLEASE HELLPPP!!

agreed on the grounds. double check to see if that grouping is indeed grounded.
