Default Crazy hot under hood after tune / turbo upgrade / no power

catless up and down pipe

front mount intercooler

Cold air intake

sti 2.5 block and heads no avcs (wrx cam gear)

DEATSCHWERKS 750 top feed

WALBRO 255LPH FUEL PUMP

grimmspeed 3 port boost con.

05 wrx ecu

My car is a 05 wrx. when i first got it i had an sti block and heads installed. It ran good with the tdo4, sti pinks, and wrx fuel pump. so later on the upgraded to an 18g and took it to a new tuner (new to me) and it did not make anymore power and was much more laggy. but the worst part was the under hood temps were hot hot! my cold air intake pipe even is super hot to the touch. So i thought maybe that turbo was just junk and i took it off and got a stock oem vf39 and took it back to have it retuned. and same as before hot hot! no better power but it spools up faster then the 18g. He told me it was leaning out so i installed a WALBRO 255LPH FUEL PUMP and DEATSCHWERKS 750 top feed, and took it back for retune. we started a pull and it leaned out so bad that we could not even do any pulls.

So i put a new oem fpr on it and did a fuel tank filter delete and install the filter under the hood. have not gone back to tune but it runs like crap so i dont know. any ideas?

Perhaps take it to a different tuner or consider an e-tune. You shouldn't be leaning out with the walbro. Sounds like it's issues with the tune.

Could be anything.... Could be an intake leak.. Could be a boost leak, could be a bad maf... Could also be a bad tune... Can't tell without logs and a rom.

Did your tuner smoke test the entire system starting at the intake?

I see a lot of cars come in from "tuners" that have many pre turbo air leaks

a pre turbo air leak on the intake? your asking if the intake just past the filter sucking in air from some where other then the filter? is that what your talking about?

it was a TGV. The TGV sensor was installed wrong (w/o the twist) and it was reading stuck open but it was stuck closed . this did all that crazy stuff i listed off. now its running cool and lots of power. if you are having this same problem, check it or better yet do a TGV delete.
