Default Question about offset if new wheels.

I got a set of rota torques from a member, I had the BBS's on my 04 WRX, and now the rear tires rub on something. Is this due to a difference in offset? I know they aren't wider rims, but do the sit further out? And no I don't know the new offset, I texted the seller to try to find out.

Yes, this is probably due to a lower offset, most likely you're rubbing on the rear fender lip. You're probably going to have to roll your fenders to avoid ruining the tires. The offset, size etc. should be labeled on the inside barrel with a sticker. Whats your suspension set up and what size tires?

so if you don't know the exact specs of the wheel, how do you expect us to help you?

look at the wheel. it tells you everything you need to know.

I'd be willing to bet a pretty penny they are wider. And I don't even gamble.

5x100 bbs wheels, I assume you mean STi bbs, are 17x7.5, I'm pretty sure the most narrow rota torque they make is 17x8 probably +48

This being compared to a 7.5 +53 really shouldn't create a running issue unless somehow you're on 17x9's or something.

Figure out what actual specs you got and come back.

they definitely make the wheel in the size I claimed, and they are definitely 17x7.5 with a 48mm offset. I am assuming I bent something back on that corner in my wreck, and now something is making it sit out further. I say this because i had a wreck on the driver side and rebuilt the whole front corner but didn't touch the rear corner. What could be bent/messed-up that would cause the wheel to sit further out?

Just for reference that the wheel is made in that size:
