Caterham’s Charles Pic and Giedo van der Garde and Marussia’s Jules Bianchi and Max Chilton have all been reprimanded by race stewards in Korea.

Bianchi and Pic received their reprimands for failing to respond to yellow flags, whilst Van der Garde and Chilton were punished for failing to stay above the minimum time set by the FIA ECU during the safety car period.

Bianchi and Pic will now both face automatic 10-place gird penalties at the next race in Japan as each has accrued three reprimands this season.

However, the stewards opted to take no further action against either McLaren’s Sergio Perez or Force India’s Adrian Sutil who had both faced post-race investigations.

Perez had been placed under investigation on suspicion of forcing Force India’s Paul di Resta off-track and for a separate tangle with Ferrari’s Felipe Massa, whilst Sutil was investigated over the shunt that took him and Red Bull’s Mark Webber out of the race.

Pic and Bianchi start at the back anyway, so what the hell does it matter

Just got back from watching this race live and in person. First time I've ever been to an F1 race, and I think it was a little underwhelming. The track is out in the middle of BFE - about a four hour drive from Seoul. Kind of a pain to get to. The track staff didn't seem very well organized as far as pointing traffic to the appropriate parking areas, and the shuttle buses to get you around were very erratic. When it was time to leave, some of the people in my group reported waiting over an hour for a shuttle bus to show up!

There also wasn't much infrastructure as far as food vendors and restrooms. I sat near turn 4, and there was a small coffee/donut stand, a churro stand, and a miscellaneous Korean "meat on a stick" type stand. The restrooms had signs in the toilets asking you not to flush the toilet paper since it'd kill the plumbing, so you had to wipe and toss it in a trash can next to the toilet. Kind of gross.

The actual grandstands didn't have very good views of the track. You could see the braking zone into turn 4 just fine, but there was a building off to the left so that you couldn't see any of the cars until they were already past you. Saw a lot of the rears of the cars, but none of the fronts. The lap / position indicator sign was broken, so you had to watch the big screen TV if you wanted to see anyone's positions.

Due to the long drive there, I didn't get to do much before the race started, but it didn't seem like there was much else to see or do. Couldn't get up close to the cars at all, either.

One thing that surprised me - everyone always talks about how the sound of F1 cars is so amazing and that the sound is what the fans want (especially when the discussions of changing the engines comes up). At high RPMs, the cars do sound nice - but at low RPMs, like when pulling out of the tight turn 4, or 5, they sound pretty flatulent. It was kind of underwhelming to hear the "brrruupVREEEEEEE" sound; almost as if every driver was lugging the car or something.

So, yeah. Glad I saw an F1 race, but I definitely would not go again next year, if they do end up holding it.

Turned out to be a pretty eventful race. Exciting final 10 laps watching hulk hold off Hamilton and Alo. I was hoping Kimi could get a jump on vettel during the SC periods but that Redbull just takes off before DRS is option.

Not sure if anyone else caught it, but when Kimi made his move on RoGro a little later in he race, they showed a shot for the lotus reserve driver (name escapes me) point at the TV in the pits with this astonished look on his face. Priceless.

Finally, first time watching the F1 weekend through the sky F1 stream and it is SO MUCH better than our american broadcast. No commercials and meaningful commentary.

I think he was astonished at the Cherokee on the track.

His next one might be worthy of a T-shirt. I don't recall the exact words, but it was something along the lines of "When am I coming in? These tires are ****ed!"

I went to Fuji in 2007, people were waiting WELL into the night to catch a bus back because that was the only way to get in/out of the track (no private vehicles).

Attending F1 races is more trouble than it is worth. Once is enough.

As for this GP - they sent a Jeep out onto the track ... how organized can those guys be?
Also, I don't know the track well, but there's this corner that they placed the TV camera behind a line of trees. WTF.

I've only been to one race but Montreal was amazingly efficient at getting 100k people on and off an island using almost nothing but a subway line. Sure, there was some wait, but it really wasn't that bad at all. The race being in the city itself is a huge plus to avoid that kind of nightmare.

It sounds like the call came from race control, not some Korean marshalls taking it upon themselves. There was clearly a miscommunication, though.

Which corner? That's an FOM issue AFAIK.
