Default Favorote/least favorite driving season

Fall, Winter, Summer, Spring? Why?

Depending where you live you may just see one or you may see all 4 in one day.

Winter. Because retards! Thats why!

MA drivers are the worst in the rain, sleet, freezing rain or snow. Its like we forget that we live in New England.

This. And who needs winter when we've got Big Bear?

Also, My AC has been broken since 2006, so it is no fun driving in the summer.

Driving? Winter for sure, I love driving down the roads in snow storms...a nice low rumbly exhaust just kind of whooshing over the snow just makes for an awesome time.

Riding? Summer.

I'm from MA... have you ever tried driving in Maine? rednecks are the worst drivers I've ever experienced first hand. Its a whole different level of stupid. (And I'm coming from a state with rotaries)

Least favorite......summer, because it's so hot here. Most favorite, right about now, windows down weather.

yup. there were people doing 10, 12 MPH tops on the already plowed roads... it's not like i was trying to drive above 20-25 w/ virtually NO traffic... but 10mph? really? stay home!

on the other end of the spectrum, you had the ones driving mini-vans and 2wd SUV's like tank... i just cruise with the flow... i have snow wheels and tires, which are going back on soon. don't want to be caught with my pants down.

I gotta say Fall for me, just great driving weather, and awesome scenery. I'm going on my 2nd winter with the subie, last year we didnt get much snow here, so im looking forward to that.

Im going up to new england end of November for the Broncos/Pats game. I prolly should get my winter tires put on by then huh? lol

This reminds of a news cast I saw... Somewhere down south got hit with some snow. Evidently there was a woman who got stuck in it and wasn't familiar with driving in the snow. A reporter came along and told her to rock the car to get unstuck.

She started rocking her body back and forth...

As you were, my favorite season to drive in is fall. Just love that season all in itself.

i drove through an isolated ice storm for 6 hours - through southern Oklahoma back in 2005. i was on my way back from Texas w/ my son.

OH. MY. GOD. it was insane! everything from Semi-Trailers to Police Cruisers and Fire Trucks in the ditch. I was so scared that someone was going to plow us into the ditch. it was pretty bad.

vs.

living upstate NY for 7 years... lake effect? Zero eF's given. GO!

Favorite: Spring / Fall.. perfect sunroof / windows down weather... (for New England)

Fall is my favorite for the exact reasons bondo007man posted. Winter sucks, people can't drive and I hate getting my car dirty with road salt, etc. Not to mention my car acting like a snow plow because its so low + my front lip

I liked the Winter in Jersey... nice and cold. No more than a few inches of snow.

Down here? It snows, I'm not going to work. My car can't get off my road til someone clears it. And I live on a dirt road in the middle of no where... -.- I need to get a plow for the zuki or the flatbed.

E: Also, seconded for rednecks not being able to drive, especially in winter.

Favorite - Fall because the temps are just right to open the windows, no humidity or bugs and I still have my summer tires on!

Least favorite - Spring because dirty roads, constant rivers of melted snow so there is no way to keep the car clean and leftover boulders from them sanding the streets that threaten my paint job after a long winter.

Better than living/driving in a constant slurry of snow, ice, salt, and sand. Oh and not seeing the sun but once a week due to the perpetual overcast skies.

I was in Miami during the "worst part" of the summer and honestly prefer it to any day from Sept-June here in MA.... just don't understand people who complain about constant sunshine and year long summer! /endrant

Hate winter in Oregon. Hard rain to where you hydroplane and in the rare circumstances it snows, people run into each other. The worst is lifted trucks in the snow. They think they're invincible until they crash....

This... And lets not forget, all the brand new potholes everywhere from the overuse of Salt during the winter. I swerve around them half the day around town like im drunk.
