i have been a member since i bought the car but never was actively posting, since the general rule is search before asking anything....

the forum rules tell me i am limited to 10 images per post and for me to get started i have to break it apart into 9 different posts.

the first shot of the car from what i remember. i bought the car of a friend of a friend. he had it garaged for a while. we were trying to put it back to stock so it can get smogged.

got it smogged and then had to get it registered, paid the backed up registration but it's mine!

i think one of the first things that i did was i got some stockies off the forums.

i tried debadging the front grill.

i wanted to see what the car would look like with black wheels so i sprayed my stock wheels.

i decided to sell the axis wheels as nice as they were. i just didnt like the shiny lip. i put an ad out for sale/trade and waited for some bites.

turns out the clicking i was hearing was my suspension was blown so i ordered the megan street coilovers.

while i was waiting i got bored of the black out so i went with a bronze for the stock wheels.

i found a local guy on the forums who wanted to trade. he had some rotas painted gold with some nice meaty tires on it and installed it in the driveway.

the car did not have bluetooth so i picked up a head unit at sonicelectronix.com.

i wanted to spruce up the interior a bit so i got some more goodies.

found another dude at socalsubies.com and he hooked me up with a front lip. met up with him and installed it in the driveway.

i love rain shots.

i was getting some mean camber so i ordered some rear camber bolts to help with my alignment.

with the rota i decided to paint them black so i made a weekend out of it. had to slap on the stock bronze painted wheels while i worked.

since then i can't find any more photos. so i will try to fill in the blanks. i got rid of the black rota subzeros and got some rota boosts wheels. these wheels i did the same treament and painted them the same bronze i did the stock wheels. i also put on some new hankook evo v12 tires on them since the ones that came with were left with no tread.

interior stayed the same, just went to stock head unit since my relative in the PI needed a radio so i gave him my alpine bluetooth unit. the car has been like this more months until recently. at the end of the 2013 i was trying to figure out what i wanted to get myself for christmas. I wanted to get new wheels. i got tired of the bronze rota boost rims. i put a for sale ad for the rota boost and sold them for $320 for the set of 5 with no tires. i got to keep them!

with the money sold from the rotas i found a guy on socalsubies.com that had some 2014 stock wrx wheels with tires that only had 4k miles on them. got them at a great price. i have these plus a great set of spare hankook evo v12 tires.

our busy season at work was in full force so i had a lot of overtime. picked these up as a pat on the back. these rear valences or spats or whatever you call them make a huge visual impact.

with the new year and the subbie project rolling again, i picked up a new head unit this time it's a double din with bluetooth. i installed the parking brake relay too.

as of today (2/13/14) this is how the project stands.

i just ordered a replacement k&n drop in air filter and a rear view camera that i will install and hopefully update this page.....

Default rear view backup camera installed

small minor update, i installed a rear view camera to finish out my head unit install. it was on amazon prime for $14 shipped and had a lot of reviews so i gave it a shot. i was stumped and getting the wiring right, but i finally figured it out. i wanted the camera to only show up on display when i am in reverse. the camera polarity is set to battery, the red wire connect to the rca cable goes to the purple wire from the head unit and power was supplied by tapping the reverse light, in case anyone else needed to know. well here is a quick pic:
