Default Installing a 3-port boost control solenoid?

K i am working on my stage 2 build with my 04 wagon. Just picke up a 3-port boost control solenoid. Do i need to have the car tuned imediatly after i instal the controler? I imagine i would correct? Because it wont be programmed to my specific needs?

Unless you've got other stuff going on, it's not going to be worth the price of the tune on it's own. Would've been better off putting the money elsewhere.

awesome advice im guessing you have oem bcs.

anyways your wgdc tables will need to be lowered typically 20-30% and you can now try shooting for faster spoolup by messing with the wgdc in the lower rpm and having it hold boost better up top.

You do not need a tune to start/drive the car like most people are suggesting.
Feel free to drive the car softly and do not get into boost until the car is properly tuned.
