I would personally choose a 6266 over a gtx35 but neither of those would be enough for 9's on full weight.
A GTX35 will go 9's. I went 10.26 at 3390 lbs in Denver at 7,500' DA. Low elevation 9's are possible.

6266 will definitely go 9s at full weight.

We went 10.0 in 2 cars at 141-144mph in full weight short ration STIs (05/06)
A decent 60ft away form 9s and both those cars had turbos that make less then a 6266. 6235r and 6265, both made around 640-670whp.

Word. That turbo makes plenty of power. Traction and high boost and 9s should work. I would estimate with my trap speed the car was only around 560whp on my runs. It's hard to tell with the 5th gear shift. Thoughts?

I shift into 5th at the 1/8th. Jdm gears. I don't think it hurts much.

You do not seem short of money, so....

Swap in the long ratio 2-6 gears, rev the car out (you have the turbo and the cams to live up top), and stop shifting 5th?

What does money have to do with anything?

My transmission is going to NF Performance for a spec B swap this winter.

They are going to make the car alot more fun to drive. I did a 5th gear pull in my car today and it was nice to really feel the torque for a change!!!
