Default STi clutch help

Thanks in advance for any and all help. I have a 2005 sti that has a problem with the release(throw out) bearing. It squeals like a banshee. i figured that while i was in there, i would just upgrade to a stronger clutch as mine slips occasionally. I have looked here and there and everytime that i find one that i like and sounds good it is bashed by those that hated it and had personal expierience. i have looked at almost every clutch brand except ebay garbage. i want something reliable as well as quiet and easy. I am looking for a clutch that will hold 400wtq as i plan to get a 20g in the future.

So, those STI OWNERS that have upgraded clutches please tell me your experience with your clutch and how many miles you currently have on it at what power level.

could get another stock clutch since your not going too big. They can be had for around $300

Overall we've been pretty happy with the southbend setups.

I was seconds away from pulling the trigger on a southbend and a local guy had nothing but chatter and noise from his sb. Everyone seems to love them and that is the company I'm leaning towards right now. I have been looking at a bs stage 2 daily.

All experiences are welcomed as long as it is personal experience!

yep. Depending on how you drive and what you use the car for is how long it will last
