Default death howl from driveline

So I was doing some research and cannot find any info on my concern.

I bought the car with a howling noise. The previous owner said it was a rear diff. At least that what he though by the noise and symptom.

1st and 2nd hear there is no noise. Its the top of third and the rest of the gears. It makes a howling noise above 35mph so it is speed related.

The noise is only present under a load or cruising above 35mph. This morning I started hearing it in a neutral decel all the way down to 20mph.

In gear coasting down it does not make a sound. I can hear it in the back of the vehicle but is seems to change when you move around the car. I can feel it in the shifter and floor.

I ordered a rear diff from a member on here. Im starting to think it may be the front diff.

Does anyone have any recommendations or had this issue and what was the fix?

Thanks in advance,

Joe

Definitely not an expert, but maybe a bad wheel bearing?
