Default Just brought this home.

I sold my 2002 WRX to a very excited NWIC member last week. It only had 61,000 on it, you could say that I babied it.

I pick this up to replace it and to have more "family planning" room and be more versatile.

2008 Fozzy w/5peed.

I'm in your boat, Brutus. Buying the wife a brand new Forester here within 2 months to make room for future family. The hard part is deciding to stage 2 my 2010 STI and keep it (since it's now paid off), hold off until the 2015 WRX comes out and buy one first day...or wait a year and use my STI as a down payment on a GTR (which the wife has approved). At the very least I told her the Forester has to be a decent color and it needs to be an XT. Looks like we're leaning towards the Burgundy color. Can't wait!

I am extremely impressed with the power, the low end torque is amazing compared to the WRX and no more waiting for the turbo to spool.

I plan on Plasti dipping the center console and blacking out the chrome bezels on the headlights and tail lights today. I guess I will add to this thread as things get done. I will put up before and after pics too.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention I only paid 8,300 for the car.

Are those wheel covers with rust colored steelies behind them? Hopefully it's not one of "those" cars that got shipped around from the south eastern states...

And I've learned you can't rely on a carfax. But other than that, it looks nice!

Yeah, it is very light rust. There is no rust underneath or inside the car. I pulled the covers off and it was just barely visible, and only where the wheel cover wasn't covering.

About 7. Light coats first. Then a little heavier.

I swapped the new tires onto my WRX wheels and had it tinted on Friday.

You clearly have the rust think confused. The rust cars come from the north east where they use salt on the roads during winter. The south east does not use salt on their roads in the winter. I am from the mountains of North Carolina. They throw salt down maybe 2 times a year if that.

I have an 07 FXT. recently we had a son, and found it very tight to put a carseat in the backseat. im 6'5 and my wife is 5'11 and our knee's are shoved up to the dash to have room for the car seat.

we also purchased ours with family planning in mind. quickly have found out we need something different.

Interesting, I am 5'10 and my wife is 5'2. KId goes behind the wife. We are expecting in May.

Thanks, I think it turned out great. I still have to address some poorly painted pinstripes. Still researching on how to remove them.

I think around 23 in town. That is likely to go up since my wife is driving it now.

Question about the plastidip. Does it smell up the inside of the car?

Maybe for the first night. Just let it dry outside the car for a day. You shouldn't have any issues.

I peeled it off and painted the parts with gloss black instead. I have a couple of compartments that the PD didn't work well with. The tolerance between the parts caused interference and the PD started to peel.

I should have cleaned the finger smudges off before the picture. It looks great now. They wiped right off.

Yeah, but flooding and whatnot. I've heard the Atlantic is more salt than water.

Finished installing my leather seat covers this last weekend. I installed seat heaters while I was at it too.

Where did you get the leather seat covers? They look great they actually don't even look like covers.
