Default Took a trip to Nameless Performance today!

It was a nice drive down by Woodland WA to get to Nameless. They are seriously located deep in the woods. Fortunately, it was a long windy 50mph road, which made it fun. There was a point I was going down a narrow gravel road and had a nagging fear that I would start hearing the banjo song from the movie "Deliverance". My fears shortly subsided when I turned on a bend and saw the rally spec FRS parked next to a STI.

Nameless Performance is a small local shop here in Washington. I met Jason and the rest of his super busy crew. They were all friendly and very professional.

I was there to pick up my axle back system (5" muffler set up) the quality of the system is superb. You should seriously see the welds on this thing... all their products are made to order by a very small crew of pros.

I'll definitely try to post a vid of how my subie sounds. Great deep boxer rumble. I've heard a lot of complaints about nameless exhaust being too droan-y, there is a slight droan in the interior, but exterior noise and music on the lowest setting can and will wash it out. I can definitely see this potentially being a problem with the muffler delete variant.

Anyway, if you guys are in the market and on the fence about exhaust, you should definitely check them out! Support a local business and get great customer service and quality product!

Yeah, their shop is out in the sticks man. But damn if they don't do good work. I too, went there and had a 5" muffled axleback installed. Do you plan on getting the midpipe later?

Thanks, man! Love the set up. I had a custom exhaust on my old Mustang with a x mid pipe paired to flowmaster 40's. Combined with the terrible interior that shielded little exterior noise, that thing sucked on long drives. This has absolutely no comparison. I guess it just depends on what people are used to and how sensitive they are to certain sounds. I think the 5" muffler axle back is the perfect balance of aggressive boxer rumble but great for daily drivers.

I feel left out of the mario club with your guy's name. ;-) I actually have a white boo ghost on my rear hatch, lol!

I definitely do plan on getting a mid pipe from them. I keep hearing rave reviews on the quality and craftsmanship of the mid pipe from people on the forum. Did you see their new custom intake boxes and maf housings? Super slick. I might even snag those too.

I was actually torn between the 4" and 5" mufflers. But Jason explained to me once you throw in the mid pipe, the 5" gets super loud.

Btw, how long have you had your system? I'm assuming it's broken in? Does it sound deeper? Louder?

Ordered the Nameless axle back for my '11 hatch a couple years ago and it has been great. Just ordered the mid pipe and down pipe and should be getting it in the next couple weeks. Can't wait!

I was deciding between the muffler delete and the 4" ones, and Jason explained to me that he's had several people come back and swap out to 5" mufflers after going stage 2 because it's so ridiculously loud. I had my axleback installed just under a month ago, and hopefully I can get the midpipe ordered before Christmas.

It isn't louder from what I can tell, but it is a little deeper sounding.

I am going installing the nameless downpipe tomorrow to add to my nameless catback so I will be able to verify how loud it gets. I don't consider the catback loud at all. Very nice for a DD.

Which mufflers do you have currently? Can you try and get a before and after video for a comparison?

I have the 5" on my 2013 hatch. I can try and take a few iPhone videos and maybe try and find a dB meter app or something to compare before/after.

Excellent. I can't wait to hear how it compares. BTW, is that midpipe with or without a resonator?

I'll get a video up shortly. That was with a resonated midpipe. Long story short.. With the catless dp the car got stupid dumb loud and I love it. I don't think a video will do it justice but I'll post it anyways when I get a chance. It's orders of magnitude louder when you get on it but not bad otherwise. A tad more drone but nothing annoying. Last but not least it makes way more power!

Video with downpipe and intake installed. Keep it mind it gets much much louder at higher rpms.

https://soundcloud.com/cboz19/2013-wrx-inside-stage-2 That's windows up, moderate pull. I have a resonator in my midpipe by the way.

Sounds amazing. I'm currently squirreling away money so that I can get my midpipe, but it won't come soon enough.
