Default Forcewerkz HKS Kansai CF rep diffuser question

Hi I apologize if this is in the wrong section, but I didn't see a better spot to put it. If needed, please feel free to move it.

Anyways, this is a question directed at those of you who have recently purchased the Forcewerkz replica of the HKS Kansai Service CF diffuser or are in the market right now. The reason I ask is because I think I may have gotten a defective or incomplete product, which I find odd because I have heard nothing but good things about Forcewerkz.

I purchased mine from Union Performance (a vendor on here) about 2 weeks ago. However, what I received looked quite different from what was advertised on both Union Performance's vendor thread, Forcewerkz' website, as well as 'for sale' threads here.

Here is what I received (Imgur album) (I did not remove the plastic and bubble wrap because I am not sure what to do with it yet..)

What I thought I was getting?:
http://www.forcewerkz.com/2002-2007-...-carbon-fiber/
http://www.socalsubies.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=19597
http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...L._SL1280_.jpg

As you can see, the carbon weave portion on what I got looks cheap compared to the latter pictures, and it doesn't even cover the whole diffuser.

Union Performance stated that the diffuser was sold straight from Forcewerkz, and that they (Forcewerkz) had changed the product to look like this and didn't update their website. An email to Forcewerkz themselves has not been returned, so I'm stuck here at a loss. Again, this is why I direct this question to those who have recently purchased their Forcewerkz diffuser; I want to know for sure what's going on.

Maybe I should have gotten the real one.. but that's more than double what this one cost. Ughh

your pictures suck...

so what is your question? Carbon fiber comes in many ways...not that i can tell from the photos, but it looks as if they are using a different size/style/brand carbon weave, but i can't tell with the Saran wrap all over it obscuring the details

if it is not a complete CF, then send it back...if it's either defective or the vendor failed to accurately describe the product, send it back

if the product has been updated and the vendor is marketing it from previous version photos, then the vendor is at fault because they misrepresented the item

guess what...send it back
