Default Lift options for the 2.0i

Bought my 2.0i a year and a half ago. Not looking to lift it to match my Grand Cherokee, but would like to get it close to the old (discontinued, Damn you Subaru) Outback Sedans. Anything out there to get me to that, or Can I swap some of the XV suspension parts in? Suggestions, info, ideas?

For more than an inch, try primative, they may have some actual suspension bits.
I wish outback sedans were still around. I saw one while driving my 12 impreza and it sorta convinced me to look into my current xv. A sedan would be boss.

How did Subaru put the lift into the XV suspension? Is it just in the struts or did they rob the outback parts bin?

It'd be great if we could get an actual rundown.. lol

To go along with suspension, did they beef anything else up any? Brakes, steering, etc?

no this thread is about lift options, not what is different between the XV and the impreza, and that has been explained because I know i read it somewhere on this site.

but to answer your question. most likely forester suspension on an impreza, with a beefed up frame and radiator. that is it

Learn something new everyday. I would've never expected forester parts as that model looks/seems less related to the Impreza than the Outback. I'm curious as to how body spacers would work on a uni-body type vehicle. (Ans2K)

They are on the Forester suspension.

The Forester and impreza share a lot of things, the outback and legacy share a lot

Would the lift void any warranties from Subaru?
I'd love to get this.

If anything suspension related failed I would think so. It won't affect engine warranty, but rest of driveline could be e at risk

The law is they have to prove a modification caused the issue. Lowering your car and then running over a rock that snaps your axle in half will cause an issue.
