Default Anyone Familiar with this Forester?

http://salem.craigslist.org/cto/4126012226.html

Im looking for something for the wifey while she's going through her RN program.

Apparently a guy named Jose has it in Salem, high milage, apparently recent timing belt and head gaskets, clean title...

They swapped out the og suspension for an 03 WRX suspension with x-members for engine and tranny so he says...

Work done by Garage DVO in Salem.

I have a 06 LGT, so not too familiar w fozzys, can anybody lend their opinion?

Thanks!

This seems like a bit too many miles. Soon you will have to deal with stuff like wheel bearings, CATs and O2 sensors, if not already. It's nice looking, but the price is right about max for 25X,XXX miles.

well, lets put it this way, for 2k more, I got a completely stock forester with 75k miles on it and it was a 99. It looks to ride too high for WRX suspension swap. The reason I say that is because with my stock forester it looked like the same heigth as pic #1 on the ad, and wrx suspension is supposed to drop you about 2.5-3 inches. That many miles sucks, and ya as old school said, your gonna have a lot of trouble with the afformentioned problems. The only pro's I see about that car are these: Stick (i wish mine had one), heated seats, monotone color for exterior (most came two tone), and you have the bumpers/side mouldings that everyone wants for the JDM parts.

But I would say hold off on this one. Because thats a lot of miles, and possible problems could arrise that he isnt mentioning.

Thanks for the input everyone, its very appreciated. The ad shows the Fozzy with stock suspension in the 1st two pix and with the supposed wrx suspension in the last two pix. I am really just looking for a reliable, clean, and preferably stock ride for the wifey...so the search continues...
