Hi guys,
I will be out at Firebird Friday night. I can't make Speedworld tonight because my wife is leaving town in a few days, and she would castrate me if I went out to play. Aaron, you should run your car and see what kind of times you get bone stock. I am so bummed that I am not going to get to see your car turbo'd, unless Robert gets it done by the 15th that is. Curt

You could have seen the SVX-T tonight if you went, since I will be there with it... Maybe next time.

Weak I may be, but it sure was fun driving a turbl SVX.
I actually posted some good time with it too. 15.45@88.** (I didn't keep the ticket, Kevin has it. To bad you weren't there. I only managed 15.7's on the two runs I did in my car. I think maybe the tires might have made some small difference. Oh well, At least I got my exhaust, filter, and pulley. Oh yeah, I have your intake as well. Will give it to you tonight.Curt |

Glad that you liked the SVX, did you want to buy it too? j/k
Thanks for running those better #'s for me. Not only do I appreciate it, but I know Robert was happy that you were able to get lower #'s. |

We had a good night at the strip. Curt ran 15.5's and I ran 15.6's. I think our cars are pretty evenly set up, but I still have a hard time dropping the clutch as hard as he does. He actually spun all four tires on a launch one time!
Eric was there with the guys he works with. They ran a pair of 10-second vette's. Man! You should have seen them run. Two of the three or four fastest cars there last night. We'll post time slips later. -Red |

Here's my best run of the night.
![]() I'm 189, Curt's 190. Even though I ran faster then him that run, he still beat me (just barely) on a hole-shot. That was my best launch of the night, but I still think I could shave another tenth by dropping the clutch a little harder. (Oh, and I could have timed the lights a bit better.) We are both running Larry's (Ganzflow) intake. Curt has the Sromung dual-tip and I have the Subaru Brospeed muffler. That's about it for mods. Close race, nearly identical cars. Enjoy, -Red [Edit: Humph... having difficulty with HTML] [This message has been edited by Red-Impreza (edited January 06, 2001).] |

hehe. I was supprised how quiet the cars were (even with the Stromung)! I could barely here them.
Oh, and my friends 1996 GS Corvette ran a 10.6@134 on slicks and his 98 Corvette ran 11.7@136mph on street tires!!! With some slicks I think he can get a 10.1@141 or so ![]() Eric |

Those Vette's ROCKED! I saw the blue one make a 10 s run, but the red one seemed to be having difficulty. How fast can you go before they make you put in a roll cage?
How do you like those Impreza times? I think Curt and I are getting it dialed in. I guess we'd better enjoy it while we can. You turbo guys are going to blow us away soon. I really love the sound of that Stromung. It sounds great from outside (not too loud w/great boxer sound), but it's a little loud inside the car for every day use. I think Curt's gonna' have to put a little sound damping in the trunk and behind the back seat. I don't think I'm going to make it to Speed World on Wednesday. We'll see. It doesn't have to do with speed, it has to do with E.T. That's why on there first run they went about 5mph to the 60 foot line and then took off so they wouldn't get kicked out. Then they got warned when they went all out!
They ran like 13 second quarter mies but very fast! You guys are doing good. I still haven't got a 15 second pass on motor ![]() Eric [This message has been edited by Imprezinator (edited January 07, 2001).] |
