Actually, are you a experienced with software driven, electro-mechanical industrial equipments? Adn can pass a criminal background search and not wanted by FBI? If so, PM me.

P.S. Specifying location/company was not all directed at you. It just seemed like a lot of people posting wanted ads, but not specifying where the job/company would be. Maybe people want to remain anonymous until it comes down to PM time.
Point taken. I am in my own little Mid-A here in NoVa. One of the reason I don't want to post too publicly is also my reference. If I am referring you and don't know you, my reputation at work could be lost for future references if you don't work out or that you turned out to be wanted..

Have I worked with CNC mills before? Very little in high school. Background check, yeah, should be able to pass that without any problems. Atleast I passed my last BATFE one

I'm a lawyer by training, but I started my own company doing cultural awareness training about Arabs, Muslims, and Sikhs - its needed today more than ever and Law enforcement have found it very helpful. I've worked with everyone from FBI and DHS, to the Methodist Church and airlines.

I'm trying to get more business so I can fully launch on my own. I do everything from program/project consulting to the popular training seminars. Please let me know if any of you guys know who could benefit from my services. I need to find more business soon.

Gov contractors, military and the like as well as private sector and schools all can benefit. I also have a book coming out by fall.

Please let me know if you can help.

Cheers,
Nawambo

^So does that mean everyone with tools and skills can post in here for their services? I.e. I can do tire rotations, bleed your brakes, install your pads, rotors, clutches, etc, without a vendor status?

I was always curious on this subject as some people's "vendor-ish" posts gets deleted and other's not. Just seem a little inconsistant.

I'd think if you have qualified skill / job training and are looking for employeement (read not customers) that's what should go in this thread. But that's my $.05 worth.

Well, I'm looking for a job, I'm not simply plugging myself. I'm trying to find people on here who may work for corporations who can hire me for my services. I though that fit perfectly well with this thread.

Cheers,
Nawambo

Yeah, I don't know. The goal is, no MAIC'er left behind. After further reflection it's a closer call than I thought before. I think the difference is, that no one on MAIC would be paying Nawambo, it would be a 3rd party paying Nawambo (whoever hires him for his services). But that's kind of an arbitrary distinction. *shrug*

That's exactly how I am confused because of "ways" someone can plug for a non-paying vendor or themselves and enjoy the same benefits that a paying-vendor can. All from a third party standpoint. I understand it's sharing info for what others might want or need as well.

Of course the non-paying vendor should not be able to voice their opinions or update on future services or products. Then again, I've read posts from obvious vendors posing as a typical Nasiocer, answering people's questions, etc.

I'm not a vendor guys, I've been on here for years, lost my username and password and started anew in 2004. I mostly hang out in News&Rumors and come out here every so often.

It's just info sharing, if someone knows of someone who can hire me for my services then so be it. How is that different than someone knowing someone who needs to hire a Computer graphics engineer and then hires them. I'm just looking for leads from my fellow NASIOCers.

Cheers,
Nawambo

And here's the flip side to this. Most folks get referral bonuses for hiring folks - usually $1000, I would think, probably well over 6 months of vendor fees. So... really the whole thread is suspect

and I hope we don't shut it down because networking is usually the best way to get a new gig. It's always been the way I've gotten something new in my ten years since college.

Of course I don't think or want that to happen. I am not only here for car related stuff. Free batteries delivered is also cool with me.

By no means was I focusing on this guy, just was curious about what is "legal" and "not legal" on the board.

Cheers and happy POETS days everyone.

What, you joined the wrong Frat? Once a brother, you'll always be a brother.

And I agree, I've met some awesome people here who share my obsessiveness with a great car company.
