I will probably be back on the market in the near future. I can't say when, but I'm not getting a good feeling about things.
Goal: Project Manager position either in construction or contracting of some sort. I can be flexible on things. I've been working as a PM for a commercial electrical contractor for the last 2 years. Engineering degree, military background, active TS clearance, amongst other things. I'd like to stay in NoVA, though I currently am still in Berlin, Germany. When the crap hits the fan, I suspect I won't be left sitting here. If you feel I'd be remotely a good match for things, do not hesitate to contact me. I am rehashing and finalizing my resume at this time and can supply it upon request. I can be reached at aj (dot) hinners (at) gmail (dot) com I plan on being stateside in NH on the evening of the 19th throught the morning of the 30th. US phone number can be provided that I can be reached at for these dates. I have a US number that is forwarded on to my international cell phone as well, for interested parties. Looking for a full time Job in the northern virginia/dc area. I graduated from UVA in 2005 with a degree in Cognitive Science/Psychology(dual major) and I have been doing research for the Navy since. It looks like we might run out of funding at the end of December.
Experience with User interface design and evaluation, linux (server admin, setup, accreditation, etc.), SOA's, psych experimentation, several published papers, audio/psychoacoustics, a little programming experience, etc. I had an interim clearance with ITT (the contractor, not the school) and then switched to Government so my investigation had to be reinitiated. I see no problems with getting and holding one. |

i think ill be looking for something new shortly. currently i am employed as a retail parts pro by advance auto parts and it seems that things are getting worse day by day. id really like to get my foot in the door on the aftermarket performance industry, even if its sitting at the parts counter in the lobby and running the register. ive had years of retail experiance and a bit of actual repair shop time in there as well. my goal is to get into building rally and trac cars, but i now i need to start at the bottom and work my way to th top. i am in frederick maryland and can commute to rockville or hagerstown or anywhere in between if needed. id like to make at least $10.50 an hour.
thanks tim c. Last edited by subyrally; 11-13-2006 at 08:05 PM. |

Nice to see more ODU students (Great school isn't it? Hehe). Do you know how is the pay? I dont mind commuting (45 - 1:15 min away depending on the drivers), but I would need to get paid decently in order to afford the trips. Which companies? And what do they do?
Thanks Alex |
