Head studs have to be good "big time" in one value and that is tensile strength! I'm sure they thought about all of that considering the cost of this exotic build.

Maybe Kakarakis will share that info!
under the photo of the parts it states that this is the 2.5L drag kit.
"Subaru Sti 2500cc drag kit.

+1650hp tested, 10.500rpm peak power.
13.8:1cr billet pistons, titanium rods, tool steel crankshaft, closed deck engine,Titanium valves, Beryllium valve seats, tool steel head stud kit, oring gasket kit, stage3 camshafts, stage3 cylinder head porting, Dry sump kit.

Methanol use or high octane racing fuel"

doubt a company that uses ti rods will accidentally use a pic with the wrong studs. but as stated earlier block in the pic isn't closed deck either like stated so maybe they did make a mistake. not hating but the if they managed to make 1650hp on a ej with the kit pictured that is amazing. I don't believe it.

not taking anything away from Kakarakis's car its a weapon, and might well use a completely different set up, just that kit and 1650hp doesn't add up to me.

like I said before I hope im wrong, would be great to be able to say that a ej can make more power than a 4g

would be great if Kakarakis would share some more info

Did I miss the clock in these videos? Watching the time elapse on the You tube video looks a lot like high 10s? Not being a first page guy here just saying...

^^haha! Lol I think we can safely assume this car is a little faster than high 10's. This car is no joke and neither is his fab work!

Funny though to see a car that's seems to be purpose built as a drag car with a full interior and 3k pounds. It's not a purpose built drag car, it's a street car that gets to the track. Hence the bolt in cage. I think Kakarakis built this to prove that he could build a street driven Subaru that can hang with the fastest GTRs, Lambos or whatever!

LMFAO......jokes on NASIOC dumbazz haters! LOL

Not doubting the skills just confused! It is one of the nicest out of the box thinking cars that has been on here in a while but crappy camera work, no time slips, semi questionable safety equipment, and a semi lack of tech info has to make one wonder.... I really hope for the sake of Subaru bragging rights that this is legit and one thing I have learned while being on this site is that there are a lot of claims of hp and times...

A search led to this.
http://www.razine.com/community/suba...ena-verlo.html

Throwing Juniors 6266 GTR build plot up here for comparo sake and to prove my point about what looks to be Kakarakis's motivation! The plots have a similar look.

Awesome job here sir!

A lot of those same questions and others have been raised on Evom. If you google Evom am extreme tuners you'll find a pretty interesting thread

I spent hours reading the Extreme Tuners thread on EvoM. Poor guy spent TT Gallardo money to make his evo fast via ET, all he ended up with, if I remember correctly, is a turbo based off another companies design, and maybe one or two other parts that he ordered. Extreme Tuners is sham IMO. I'd love to see the "46 psi" this produces.

+1. I just read the thread and a couple others on other forums and it looks like he finally hit the Subaru forum.

Then it should speak more to kakarakis' talent more than Extreme tuners. Are you all doubting what has been here?

I think it does speak for his talent more than ET's products. I'm not doubting what he has posted thusfar, I'm just curious about 46PSI.

There's no doubt in my mind about Karakakis's talent and vision here with this build. I loved watching this thread play out, it's been entertaining! I obviously did a little research on him since his thread here started as I'm sure some or most here have. I'm think he used some ET parts on his motor build.

If you have not checked out his Facebook page then I'd do that, his fab work is super nice!

I think that dyno plot I posted was from 37 or 38 psi, not sure though. Looking at his plot and Jr's 6266 GTR plot. Karakakis's plot has more area under the curve and really spools pretty fast making 300wtq by low <4k rpms.

^^^^We are of the same mind. It just seemed like people were beginning to equate extereme tuners with this particular build, and since they have a reputation it was turning this thread into a discussion of them.

I think this car would be fun and probably very drivable on the street! That would be fun, I'd delete the scoop, badges, no stickers and make it look like a NA Impreza, with big tires of course!

Holy crap could you win some money street racing this thing! Supra, no problem, GTR, no problem, Lambo, NP, Blown V8 NP, Murder Nova NP,,,,,oops We're not supposed to talk about that though!

You can do all sorts of things with methanol/race gas.

Yeah it seems that the guy on EVOM got screwed by extreme tuner but there is some people that have had success with their parts.

Thanks for clarifying things and sharing some more details! These are some very impressive numbers!

Is your motor closed deck with factory cylinders? What failed on your motor? I'm sure your car must test the limits of our Subaru platform and most all of the parts you put in your car.

I'm curious about your driveline outside of the motor. What kind of transmission, driveshaft, axles etc ......?
