Is anyone interested in trying out the down pipe/muffler delete. I need reviews from different people in different circumstances. I have one ready to ship finished in black anti-corrosion paint.

Ok, so after the replies I have got so far, the muffler delete is slightly dronny under certain circumstances, less noticeable in the stick shift, which is what I got. I am not going to discontinue the product, rather I will just keep it in production and advertise it as the economic solution for exhaust options. If you would like to try one, just let me know, they would be made to order, that means I would only keep one in stock, that means if I get two people interested, the last one would have to wait a couple of days more. Soon I will launch a website, but for right know, I just take pay pal and do bussiness over e-mail. Thanks to all those who supported me with their reviews, they were very helpful. thank you.

That's a good question, I'm going to stop by Subaru tomorrow morning and see if it would fit. Are you interested or just curious?

Default A new breed of the muffler deletes

Or a side product, So Making them in the two in interior diameter makes them more power agressive, and making them 1.5 In aparently from the different opinions and test I have done myself, is gas savy (minimum). Both enhance the sound almost equaly, the two inch being slightly louder and deeper (just slightly). Just as a side note.

Here is a peek preview of the new muffler delete I am working on, stay tuned. Don't worry you can still ask for the original one which is stealth.

Just to let everyone know, the testing time is over, but don't worry, you can just contact me to get yours before the launch of my website in April with the full price. I am in the process of registering my business. I would like to thank everyone who helped me with the reviews, I have taken all of your suggestions to refine the product, and taken notes for the new ones to come. Thank you so much everyone!

Got my order in for a muffler delete downpipe for my 2014 XV Crosstrek 5spd.
I've been searching for something I could bolt on. Thanks again Adan. I'll post my results.

One concern I do have with this setup is, do you think it will be a problem down the road not having a support/hanger at the tailpipe? The factory setup is all supported at the end, but it does have a lot more to hang on to..

Joel

Hoping I don't have to notch the bumper like the factory side either, to keep it from melting. That would blow.

No sedan option yet, If someone around the riverside, Ca area, would want one for free I am willing to make one on my expense, just so I can take measurements, test fit, and all of that.

I had mine for almost a year now with no problems, and no you don't need to cut anything, I make the clear the bumper cover enough to prevent any damage or any extra modifications, this is a true bolt on.

Sounds good. I'll post some pics of it on my 2014 XV Crosstrek when I get it and getter on!

Yeah, I got to looking at the exhaust hanger situation. There is a hanger downstream of the center muffler/resonator, so only the last ~3ft of tailpipe won't have a hanger with the muffler delete kit installed. The rear most hangers are intended to support the rear muffler (or resonator?) we're deleting.

Has anyone done a resonator delete or is a muffler delete adequate enough for more rumble

To me, that's the big question. Is the muffler looking component at the end of the system that we're removing a muffler, or is it actually a resonator?

Then there's the ribbed, stamped steel muffler or resonator on the center exhaust pipe. I've heard this confused as a catalytic converter. It's certainly not that.

From what I've seen, if you tap on the components with a wrench handle:

Muffler goes thud-thud.
Resonator goes TING-TING.

On mine, the rear "muffler" is a TINGer.

actually, there is a hanger just a few inche's from the axle flange, back toward the center resonator. It's very easy to miss, unless your really looking for it. I'm a couple of months into my rear muffler delete, and I couldn't be happier.

Worth the minor effort, and cost.

I went to a shop and that pancake looking thing seems to be the resonator. I'll be get exhaust work tomorrow. The piping seems to shrink after the resonator so I'll end up getting bigger piping with a Magnaflow muffler first
