Post Your Mission, should you decide to accept...

This is it....

Next week sometime if a few of you could go out to Skidpad 4, and talk to the dealers. There you will see those 85 MY02 WRX's. It is a dealer program, where they get to drive around the skidpad. I was there today at about 1:30, but they were done for the day. The bossman wasn't there, but others were and I left a Rallycross flyer. Mention the rallycross to the dealers out there, and see if they bite. Maybe we could get some WRX's on the dirt to see what they can do... They were tearing the course down, I assume they will take Friday and the weekend off. The workers said they would be here for another 7 weeks!!! I'll be going out there on Wed maybe to talk about the rallycross. The more the merrier though.

It's kinda' hard for me to take time off during the day. Maybe I'll try to sneak down there during lunch next week. I assume that if I'm caught, you'll deny all knowledge of my activities.

Arg!!! Why do I have to have guests? Tomorrow I would go, but I have too much to do in the morning before my guests arrive. Next week the first day I will be able to go in the morning would be maybe Thursday, I will try before that though.

There's a red WRX on the dealer lot here in Prescott. Haven't stopped to see if its an auto or stick.

hay hay hay.... no baggin on yellow...

went out to SW yesterday. Everything is going to plan. The course will be final next Fri. We will have a porta pottie close. They really don't care what we do (BBQ, party, dance nekid, whatever, as long as we don't mess with the parking lot) so we are free to have a great time. I will be there around 0600 on Sun if anyone wants to come out and assist with set up.

You go to the West most entrance, just past the main entrance. It has a Bondurant sign I believe...

That would be Mellow Yellow to you Red. You kinda sound like an interior decorator when you say what color your car is. The dealer here has been sending guys down to the drive at firebird for several days now. To say they gush over what the car can do, is an understatement. I would gush to if I had a Pro rally driver flinging a car through corners with me in the passenger seat. They also take them out in the dirt, so getting them to show up at the Rally Cross may not be that hard. I have heard that my car will be here this weekend. I have come to the point that I just say 'Yeah Right' when I hear this. Hope you guys get a good turn out for your Rally Cross. I would like for all of this to still be going on when I move back there.

Thumbs up

I was out and about this morning, and stopped over there, but most of the cars were under cover, and there was nobody walking around or anything. There was about 7 uncovered, including 1 red one. Pretty sharp looking. They had the BBS wheels, but no wing. It looks like they are using not only the skidpad, but also the roadcourse that winds around the skidpad.
I went home and got my camera, drove back and took some pictures. I will post them tonight when I get home. I saw a couple of places on the track where it looked like they had some off track excursions, just based on skidmarks, and dirtmarks.
I think the reason there isn't anyone out there right now, is because there is a big dragracing event at Firebird, and they need the skidpad for parking.
The only problem I have with what I saw is the fact that skidpad obviously had some sort of course laid out on it. No big deal right? The course was outlined with chalk!! The entire thing was a veritable chalk festival!! What gives? I thought Firebird didn't allow chalk?

Anyway, I will post pics tonight.

Cool

I went out there in my lunch break today. There are 6/7 red, white and blue ones not under covers. The others (loadsascoobies!) were under car covers.

Interestingly, all had the expensive BBS's we were talking about earlier, but none I saw had the rear spoilers on them.

There was no-one around at 1pm, so it looks like they're doing morning sessions.

If you're going down there, take the second entrance off Maricopa (Gate 3) and they're in an enclosure on the right side after the ticket gate (you won't have to pay)

The car covers are kinda cool actually. They say IMPREZA on the front bumper part.

The cars under cover were 2 rows deep also, so there sure are alot of them. It also looked as if the ones under cover had the stock wheels on them, instead of the BBS wheels.
