Default Hello from Middle East

2010 STI in black
Stock except for painted wheels if that's a mod...
I'm 28, love driving and playing video games.
I'm from a country called the Sultanate of Oman, or Oman in short. Neighbor to UAE and Saudi. We have awesome roads and 6 days of rain the whole year, rest is sunny.
We have deserts and mountains and for 3 months in the south (border of Yemen) it becomes fully green.

I have had a lot of different cars over the years and finally set my mind on a factory turbo car. Got a good deal on the STi and bought it. I'm the second owner of this car. Bought the car with very low 21,000 kilometers but the engine died at 25,000. Subaru replaced the engine for me so I'm happy.

Boost is really addictive and I feel it hard not to step on the gas pedal all the time. I'm a health and safety professional so I drive with care, not going above the speed limit in a country where everyone drives like they're racing.

I still own a Honda Prelude which I turboed and killed the motor. It's resting in my garage for me to start rebuilding it at a later stage. I've owned Mustangs, Camaro, Vettes, Civic, Yaris, CRX, Supra, Mark II/Chaser, 280zx, Celica GT4, etc. etc. All cars have their goods and bads but for now my loyalty lies with Subaru. I own this STI, a 2012 Legacy 2.5i and a 2012 Toyota Sequoia.

I'm here to learn about the car and get to know the community.

The photo is taken with a Sony DSLR camera, it's cropped as well because It's uploaded on Instagram and I'm at work so just took it from there to post. There are other pictures at home which I will post later on.

Welcome. Looking good. Any reason why the motor died and Dealer had to replace it? Please do take some more pictures.

Oh yes I do offroad, in fact a newspaper here took a pic of my car and gave it in their article without even asking me.

The pistons messed up, I guess the head as well because it died making a knocking sound on each side. They didn't tell me more but replaced the whole engine and the ECU. I know the engine is replaced because in our country we need to register engine serials to the Police for our cars, so I needed to go change it with the new engine number.

At a Subaru gathering, weird but the Impreza next to my car is lower than STI lol.

And here is my DD, 2012 Legacy 2.5i
