What time Sunday? I work Sunday night, but if we go early enough I might go and then just crash for a couple of hours on Sunday afternoon.

I'm planning on driving to Canyon Lake Sunday morning. Is that the same as Apache Trail?
I am going to go about 9:30 am or so, drive up there and play around a bit, then drive back. My friend will be driving his car also so if you want to go, we would be more than happy to have a few more cars go.
As far as Monday goes for a meet, count me in because I have Monday off. Just tell me the time and place.

Ok, as far as Monday goes, I think we should do lunch at an Applebees or TGIF or something. Preferably centrally located so everyone may participate. (Might be a little far the Prescott crowd)

Say around 2:00pm?

Any other suggestions?

Who knows of a place?

I don't think I'm going to make the drive up the Apache trail on Sunday (but see this thread for some info: Apache Trail Information ).

I should I'll be able to make it Monday, but I really didn't like that Applebee's as a meeting place. It's too busy and crowded a parking lot (and the food's not all that great). I know it has some historical significance to the AZScooby folks, but I think we could come up with a better place.

well I would really like to have a meet it doesn't matter to me where but we need to get as many people as possible to show. I haven't heard from Aaron, Bruce, Eric, Dan And maybe the guy who lives in prescott who just bought a bue RS would want to participate. I'm sure there is more but I may not have met them so I don't recall their name. If you are able to get ahold of them that would be cool. Sorry to rush everybody but I hate when crap is just thrown together. I wish I realized Monday is presidents day earlier in the week, so we wouldn't have so little time to organize

Thanks

Let me know what is happening for Monday. I have to work, but not until 18:00, so I can attend a mid/late afternoon meet.

Who is up for rides in the turbo(s)? Notice I said rides and not drives

Okay then, isn't there a TGIF off of I-17 just north of Dunlap? That would make a good place, and since it will be in the early afternoon the place shouldn't be to busy.
If I remember right there is a whole office park next to it and a dinner restaurant also.
There should be plenty of parking.

Does anyone else like this idea?

TGIF would be fine with me how about everyone else?

There should be tons of parking there as well as Mike noted.

How about 1:00PM or so?

We need to get this decided if it is going to happen...

Remember this when I say it...

February 19th VERY BAD IDEA. There are probably 350 days each year I can meet you guys for lunch, this just happens to be one of the dozen or so I cannot.

My daughter was born on 2/19/93. We are going to Flagstaff. Hopefully she'll get some sledding in, and daddy will be pulling drifts in the parking lot.

I would also like to say, no more Subaru drives to Apache Trail!!! Here are some good reasons why you don't want to do Apache Trail, especially on the weekends, and thats because of all the boats!!!

Since you guys were busy destroying your cars on dirt surfaces, I headed over to Bartlett lake to rip up and down that road. It was a lot of fun, but my window of opportunity was very narrow. The traffic was also NUTS!!! Boats going there, coming back, motorhomes, familys, old geezers in buick park avenues.

Take it from me, lake roads are cool, but they suck on weekends! I used to go jet skiing every summer, 3 years straight, and I know!!!

But hey, I hope you had fun, because mine wasn't very fun.

If anybody wants to go driving again, Jerome or Prescott back way is the way to go. Maybe even South Mountain Park on a good day. But you'll never catch me on Apache Trail. That road just sucks...

Anyway - just wanted to vent. Mad because I have to miss *another* AZSubaru event... Oh well... I can become more Lloyd like I guess.

Okay so were on at 1:00 at TGI Fridays Off I-17 just north of Dunlap If someone could come up with a more specific location that would help a lot . Aaron why do you always use military time. My dad refuses to drive one of his Subbies so I have to chauffer him down. Robert will most likely be driving Kastle's SVX down so he can test it out a lower elevation and one of his friends will drive his SVX. Hope to see everbody there

That would be nice. I'd like to get the RRFPR and the MBC installed sometime while we are at it, maybe even the oil leak fixed too.

I'll call Robert in the AM to talk about it.

The TGIF is on the East side of I-17, right off of the freeway. You won't be able to miss it. You should probably get off at Northern actually, I think that is closer to it than Dunlap. Trust me when I say you will see it.

We use military time at work. So I have a habit of using it in other places as well.

TGI Friday's
11025 N Black Canyon Hwy
Phoenix, AZ 85029
(602) 861-1577

It is in between Cactus and Peoria. Get off the I-17 at Peoria, and take the access road north for a couple of blocks. You can't miss it.

I will be there with the RS-T and maybe the Forester might make an appearance.

Apache trail rules! That's a great drive. Especially once you're past Tortilla flats.

Dan, Dan, Dan... we've gotta' talk. These are rally-bred AWD cars. They live for twisty little washboard dirt roads! (Of course, I did spend several minutes today deciding which looked worse - the chips or the chip paint.)

Ah well, maybe I'll do a track day with you one of these times and you can trail run with me.

Sorry you can't make the meet. Say happy birthday to the daughter for us.

Thumbs up

You guys decide. I'm cool with Applebees, I just think we could think of some place with more open parking. Either way, I should be there Monday.
